Sources told ESPN.com that the Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings, in discussing a Samuel Dalembert-for-Kenny Thomas swap, have discussed expanding thatconcept with Boston by trying to draw in the Celtics on a potential three-way deal that would finally land Andres Nocioni in Boston.

Discussions are reportedly ongoing and they have a long ways to go before being completed.

Sacramento would send Nocioni to Boston, Kenny Thomas, Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine to Philadelphia and Dalembert and J.R. Giddens to Sacramento.

I never have to worry about payin attention to anything Memphis, I know Mike will always handle them properly.

Atlanta, wow.

Jennings late in the game let me down big time, but I was encouraged that this kid who drops 55 comes out the next game and has 8 assists midway thru the 4thquarter. Shows he wasn't out there gunnin.
And I love that he takes the late game shots, but he needs better selection on those shots. Those fallin back off balance 3's were killin me.

Great shot by Dirk though.

BJ was scary in the fourth because we had JJ Barea and Jason Kidd trying to guard him and it was a complete failure. We put Beaubois out there andI was a hell of a lot more comfortable with that than having Kidd or Barea trying to guard the kid.

Carlisle needs to realize that he's probably our best defender guarding the quick guys. He'll learn along the way, and he's not a liability like JJis because he's also polished on the offensive end, he misses some gimme's near the basket but he hustles.

So Boston gives up three non-rotation guys for depth at the wing position, but also gives up some cap room for the next three seasons including this one. TonyAllen, Scalabrine and Giddens are all expiring contracts.

Nocioni's contract:

2009-10: $7.5 million
2010-11: $6.85 million
2011-12: $6.65 million
2012-13: Team option for $7.5 million

Philly gets Kenny Thomas' expiring $8.5 million contract along with Allen and Scalabrine.

Sacramento rids itself of an extra year of money for Nocioni, but gives up almost $6 million in cap room for next year.

Dalembert's contract:

2009-10: $11.36 million
2010-11: $12.2 million

Can't say I really dislike this trade for any of the teams, although I'm not sure how Boston feels about paying Nocioni that much for that long to comeoff the bench.

what happened to the scores and schedules chart on nba.com homepage? It looks terrible compared to what they had prior.

I prefer the new look, actually. The old one had way too much wasted space.

Eh, I don't see a lotta minutes for Nocioni. And just off the start, I'm starting to think Sheed is going to over shoot them outta bein realdangerous. And if they try to correct him, he could go the other way and stop shooting altogether. He's sensitive like that.

they have to lower PP minutes so i would see minutes for nocioni, he could also play some PF

Exactly, can play some PF which means KG and/or Sheed on the bench.

Or he takes minutes away from PP.

How's that a bad thing for us? I like Noc too, his game is skilled, in fact I think he was part of the Kobe deal that fell apart right? So I know he canplay, but him on the court is better then PP or KG on the court. And come the postseason, his minutes will be so broken up, I don't see him havin a hugeimpact.

Now, if one of them was down completely, THEN he would surely help them out. But they'd be giving up basically 3 players for him right? Eh, Iwouldn't worry about it that much. They have other things they need to worry about right now. They look off to me. So far at least.

im talking about they can use him now to lower PP minutes in the regular season and lower KG minutes at PF since Gay Davis is out hurt

they been looking for that james posey type of player off the bench since he left and noc is that

I don't think he's as good as an on ball defender as James Posey but he's certainly more annoying and will frustrate more people.

Damn, more annoying then Posey?
smh.gif
Posey annoyed the @#$% outta me and I don't even play him.
laugh.gif
Noc isn't as physical though is he, sort of like a Vujacic pesky type I thought. I never noticed Noc as a banger, certainly Posey could do that.

Not as good a defender but more physical than Posey and will fit right in with there style of play. Nocioni plays thug ball.

Them being able to save Garnett and Pierce minutes during the regular season IS a bad, bad thing for everybody in the NBA... Don't care how you look atit...

Minutes in the playoffs will sort themselves out. But them being able to take a load off Pierce and KG over 82 games is not a good look for everybody else.
