If Ginn is use only as a return specialist, I believe he'd be more productive.

[h5]Darren Sharper | Saints | Interested: ********?, Chargers?, Eagles?, Jets?, Saints?, Dolphins?, Chiefs?, Texans?, Cowboys?, Bears?[/h5]
Last time we talked about unrestricted free agent safety Darren Sharper, we were amazed at how long but distinguished the list of his allegedly interested suitors had become (up to ten teams, by our count). With the draft just days away, it now looks like the earlier hypothesis is also correct: Sharper is in the same boat as Terrell Owens and other veteran free agents who will wait to sign a new deal after the draft, perhaps with a team that misses out on drafting their position.
Speaking at a pre-draft news conference, New Orleans Saints GM Mickey Loomis addressed Sharper directly: "I'm not optimistic or pessimistic. We'll see how that plays out," Loomis said, per the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "We have a specific idea of what we want to pay Darren," he continued. "But if another team offers a big contract, I'll be happy for him, just like I was happy for Scott Fujita (when he signed with the Cleveland Browns). (Sharper) has expressed pretty clearly that he'd prefer to be back with the Saints. But I understand he wants to maximize his earnings."
In addition to the Saints, we've heard rumblings of various magnitudes that the ********, Chargers, Cowboys, Bears, Dolphins, Chiefs, Texans, Jets and Eagles are all interested in Sharper. The Jets might be taken out of the running due to their "final four" status and what happens with Jason Taylor this week, but all the rest appear to still be in play.
If Sharper doesn't sign with a team by July 22 (I believe), that "final eight" restriction no longer applies and the Jets can sign UFA as they please.
Jets are still waiting on Jason Taylor's decision, and that should, hopefully, happen this week... if he doesn't sign, Mark Brunell is reported as the next player they'd go after (bye bye K. Clemens), then Sharper.
I think the max we can offer any player now is 2 years, $3.3 mill.

Smart Lions, Pettigrew tore his ACL last year i believe..... Theres no knowing how hes gonna come back.... he can come back and be a pro bowler or come back and not do $%++, Stafford needs as many weapons as possible....Originally Posted by jmause3

And McDaniels continues to destroy the Denver fanchise. Dude is a complete idiot. No matter, he'll be outta there in two years.
- Culter
- Marshall
- Hillis
- Schlefer
- Nolan
- Trading his 2nd round pick for a DB, who would've been there in the 5th round.
- A @!%*##$ top 15 pick used on a RB last year, when he went out and signed 3 FAs. And his defense was ranked 27th at the time.
- Drafter a player in the top 20 last year who had less then 12 sacks in his college career in Knoxville. Then ask him to come in and be a stand up LB and also be a sack artist. Josh McDaniels is a complete clown.
******** you mean?Originally Posted by Proshares
Take it for what it's worth but Werner and Sal Pal are reporting McNabb is recommending that the Eagles sign TO.

At 2:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Commissioner Roger Goodell will be chatting with fans at NFL.com. (And the folks who'll be screening the questions surely can't wait for all of the questions submitted via made-up names, humorous or otherwise.)
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy has dropped a hint, Twitter style, regarding one of the possible topics that Goodell will address.
"Someone should ask him who the Saints open with," McCarthy says.
Oh, Brian, someone will. The only question at this point is whether the question will be asked by Brett Fart or Ben Rapistberger.
We still think it will be Vikings at Saints, September 9, on NBC and with PFT invading the Vikings Radio Network for at least the third quarter, possibly more.
