**Official '11 NYK LOCKOUT thread*** lockout over

i've seen enough +%$$ from the knicks to be pessimistic for 3 lifetimes. you think it's fun? i'm beyond happy they proved me wrong.

this was our first win in golden state since spreewell was playing. why would i be confident in them closing it out?

any road win is a good win.

5-4 with Turiaf playing 20+, not a coincidence. Play with size, and this team is not THAT bad.

what I would like is to see AR get his 10-15 minutes a night so we can avoid stretches with Will at the 4 and playing small altogether.

Felton has pretty much been solid all year. don't see how anyone could complain about that guy.

I've been a Knicks fan since the mid 90s so I know what you're going through man, but there's gotta be a limit to the pessimism...I'm not singling you out at all because I have a lot of personal lifelong friends that are Knicks fans and a lot of them are pessimistic about this team as well..I can understand losing faith across a stretch of games where they've been playing like crap, but losing faith within a game when the team STILL HAS THE LEAD is insane...

What did the team do wrong tonight to lose faith in them? Grabbed more rebounds than GS, had more assists than GS, more blocks than GS, better Field Goal Percentage than GS, way more free throw attempts than GS, our 2 newest free agent signings were the best players on the team and our PG had a career high..Felton had double digit assists, Stoudemire had double digit rebounds, and Gallo had a huge 3 in a clutch situation, so they all did their job...What more did you want them to do?

I only want to see AR play & play well to use as a trading chip for someone. I really don't think he'll flourish on this team and perhaps anywhere else. I said before, he just looks soft mentally to me.

Don't want to see our young core of Gallo & Wil going anywhere.

we got in foul trouble the first 3 minutes in the 4th. we were hitting huge 3's and then not getting back on defense. we haven't won here in 9 years, i just didn't see us closing it out.

also we took some dumb 3's and got stagnant for a stretch. thankfully we went away from that

What did the team do wrong tonight to lose faith in them? what have they done in 10 years to earn my faith?. i don't have the energy to have blind faith in the knicks anymore.

the only thing that matters is the W

Good game, guys. I wish we had David Lee so we would have been more competitive, but injuries are a part of the game.

Randolph is in the same position he was in when he was in Golden State? Damn.

The widely held belief has been that any team that acquires Carmelo Anthony in a potential trade with the Nuggets would look to sign the forward to a contract extension as part of any deal.

That may not be true, writes Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

"Ridiculous," one Western Conference general manager said when asked about demanding an extension prior to a deal.

"A handful of team executives consulted this week by ESPN.com believe there are more than a few teams in circulation that would be willing to trade for Melo without getting his name on an extension, even though the risk of losing Anthony without compensation in July is precisely why countless league observers believe the Nuggets will eventually have to give in and give him up," Stein writes.

Stein goes on to mention the Mavericks and Rockets as teams that might be willing to simply rent Anthony for the second half of the season.http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap/#ixzz15nh1J7Ap

I know what you mean my dude, trust me, I do...I'm just a very optimistic person in general so I guess it carries over into sports...I catch myself constantly saying I'm done watching Knicks game late into losing seasons yet I always end up watching them anyways..I'm not gonna comment on my stance on this current team yet because we had a 3 game winning streak early then went on a 6 game losing streak...I'll wait till this team is about 20-25 games in to say how I really feel

Despite how poorly we played last week, we're still half a game out of the 8th seed

I know what you're saying..

But "we should" beat a team with a record of 1-12.

If we wanna be a playoff team ourselves

Blake, then?... I feel confident against a Kaman-less Clippers team and their ****** back court. I know we had trouble with Monta and Steph but Gordon and Bledsoe are not in the same category as those two. Also, you do know the Clippers suck? I wouldn't feel so confident that the Clippers can beat us.

This was a good game for the most part.

However, I am getting extremely pissed off and tired of watching Felton bring the ball up the court, hand it off to Turiaf and make him create the offensive plays. I don't care what plays D'Antoni calls. Felton looks like a failure running that play. A straight up inept pg. That play don't got a high successful rate either.

Knew the team was gonna lose the lead. Gallo's shots just fell this time. The post game with Al summed it up well. Can't really praise anything knew since Felton did all the scoring, GS lack of interior defense let Amar'e score when he wanted, and Gallo bailed us out.

Love how Fields is playing and improving though. Wish he'd get more free reign to create. I still think Mozgov needs to be playing if only to avoid this small ball nonsense D'Antoni is trying to sell.

Chandler should stop shooting 3s. He needs to be driving and taking that mid range. Infuriates me when I see him take a 3 or !%@% up and travel pretending like he was gonna shoot 3 but he does not take the 3 when the shot clock is winding down.

we're gonna lose to the clippers

rarely they win in back to backs

this is the knicks, no game is an automatic win. Let's hope i'm wrong

Just because the clips are 1-12, it doesn't mean we can take them likely. It's all about math ups and I'm worried about what Blake will do.

Great win last night got scared at the end though. When they are moving the ball around looking for the open man attacking the basket they are very unstoppable.

Great for Gallo to hit them daggers

"This is a cakewalk here. I love it,'' Randolph said. "Nellie had his ways but, not to say I didn't enjoy myself out here, but this situation is a lot more easier, there's a lot more dialogue with the coaches.''

D' Antoni has been criticized in the past for a lack of communication with players, but with Randolph, the coaching staff has been very clear. The 6-11 Randolph's game is extremely raw, erratic and, at this point, undefined. The Knicks would like to see him define it by observing versatile players such as Lamar Odom, Boris Diaw and Marcus Camby. "At the end of the day, you have to be efficient,'' D'Antoni said. "And we're trying to get him efficient.''
