Well...Big J and the rest of team NYK, this was just posted (as in February 20, 2011)

Spoiler [+]

the post just cited woj's report

no new information

3 things that woj hate sin order

-lebron
-the knicks
-CAA

This is one of the very few times where I hope David Stern intervenes. This is ridiculous man...this man is literally sabotaging this team. Dolan must be a high functioning ****** to keep trying to force Isiah back into the organization.

if it's true that we offered felton, gallo, chandler, and a pick for melo, billups, carter

then it isn't time to worry about isiah yet. add a few picks, add moz and fields, take back harrington and birdman....... then you have isiah

it was reported that walsh was for sure on the confrence call.

i'm worried but the sources that are saying isiah is running the team are not good. isola and woj are biased and we all know that. i don't see how walsh was allowed to hire wark, if dolan plans on bringing isiah back

now i'm getting frantic and angry text messages about isiah and dolan

i sincerely hate the media. a bunch of %+%$$*% parasites and glorified bloggers
Source: Knicks 'not going any further' with offers
11 m ago By Alan Hahn

LOS ANGELES -- The Knicks appear to have drawn a line in the sand in their negotiations with the Denver Nuggets for Carmelo Anthony. A person with knowledge of the situation said the team will not budge any more than they've already gone with their offers to Denver.

The Nuggets now have to decide whether they want to make this deal with the Knicks or play games with Carmelo until Thursday's trade deadline.

"We're not going any further now," the source said. "It's out of our hands."

The Knicks have an offer on the table that includes Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari and Raymond Felton going to Denver along with a first-round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves, for Anthony, guard Chauncey Billups and at least one other reserve player, plus $3 million in cash considerations. The deal the Knicks have in place will save the Nuggets as much as $6 million in luxury tax this season.

Though the Knicks would prefer to sign Anthony as a free agent in the offseason, multiple sources say the organization has been made aware that Anthony has no interest in waiting for free agency, especially with the uncertainty that lies ahead in collective bargaining.

"He wants the money," one source said.

That obviously complicates things for the Knicks, who might have been able to negotiate a more favorable deal if Anthony had used the threat of walking after the season to motivate Denver to trade him.

Donnie Walsh wanted to do this the usual way: set parameters, negotiate and then stare at the clock until the 11th hour and see if the Nuggets buckle under the pressure of trading Carmelo for a little less than what they were hoping to get for their superstar.

But there has been nothing usual about this process, which has plummeted to incorrigible levels of amateurish behavior and inane posturing. Walsh, according to sources, has never been completely confident that Denver would ever come to a fair deal. He has good reason to believe this, considering the behavior of several people involved in the process who have gone to great lengths to undermine the Knicks' efforts both behind the scenes and in the media.

Despite reports that suggest Walsh has been completely removed from the situation, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations insist that Walsh is very much involved "on the basketball side" of the decision-making. One source also said that Isiah Thomas' reported involvement in advising Knicks owner James Dolan is not an effort to undercut Walsh.

"Isiah is not undermining Donnie," said an NBA source with no connection to the Knicks or the Garden, but direct knowledge of the situation.

"It's not an issue," a source close to Walsh agreed.

The Knicks are apparently concerned enough about the reports and speculation that has arisen this weekend that the team released a joint statement from Dolan, Walsh and coach Mike D'Antoni on Sunday that said:

“We want to make it abundantly clear that we have been in constant communication throughout this process and the three of us are in complete agreement with everything that we are currently working on. Together, we will do what is best for the long-term success of the franchise.

In addition, we want to make it clear that no one from outside our organization has been involved in this process in any way. We will have no further comment at this time.

Dolan will let EVERYONE know Isiah had something to do with getting Melo when this is final.

Then by the end of the season, he'll announce him taking over for Walsh.

%@%% is just terrible.

Dude you need to calm down.
Anthony has his own interest as his priority, and that's the way it should be.

All of us would do the same in this situation, it's the right thing to do for yourself and your family.

i'm not saying whether he's right or wrong

i just don't want people going at walsh's head when we don't have the assets or money for a 3rd max, or when this deal falls through and he isn't traded

All this news is just being rehashed into different tweets & articles. What I have gathered is that a trade will happen closer to Thursday. If Dolan was really listening to Walsh & Pringles, I don't think Gallo would be included. I'd pull him back from the deal, only leaving Chandler, Felton (

), & pick so Denver can start reeling with anxiety. The 11th hour comes, and the ball is in DN's court. I don't know who has "leverage" at this point, but the Knicks have something big cooking and have more than 1 way of getting those ingredients.

CP3 or D-Wil
Fields
Gallo
STAT
Dwight

If Dolan rehires Isiah, that would be the foulest *%%# I will ever witness. Walsh has done so much for this franchise as soon as he stepped in the door.

Would be tough to get Dwight though because he has repeatedly made subtle (and sometimes, not so subtle) hints that he would like playing in Los Angeles...If Bynum gets his PPG up and the Magic know he's gonna bounce, they can sign and trade Dwight and other players to the Lakers for Bynum and other players..Gasol and Kobe aren't getting any younger so you know the Lakers would be eager for that trade in a year or 2...Especially if they don't win the title this year or the next

2:40 PM: Alan Hahn reports that Denver is not willing to rush to get the deal done, but other teams around the league are pressuring them.  Many teams are hesitant to make a deal before Melo is dealt.  According to one of his sources, Hahn says that “something could go down in Carmelo-Knicks trade [in] ‘about 24-48 hours’ with Tuesday possible day.
