Harris, a part-time starter for Atlanta last season, had three hits, two RBIs, a stolen base and scored three runs. He made a diving catch of a line drive by Gregor Blanco in center field to end the game and has five hits in the first two games of the series.

Disgusting losing 2 games to the Nats, and Frank Wren has stated that Teixeira will not be on the trading block.

Apparently the Braves will be buyers and are interested in an Outfielder.

Monday: Jorge Campillo limited the Marlins to two hits in seven innings in a 4-0 shutout.

Today was just the opposite: Although Charlie Morton only allowed 2 hits, he allowed a 3-run HR from Mike Jacobs in a 4-0 shutout loss.

Yeah i watched the game and it wasn't really Morton's fault because the umpire called a changeup low and it allowed Uggla to walk when he could'vegotten called out on strikes. It then allowed Jacobs to hit a 3 run Homer.

Tomorrow Tim Hudson needs to get the job done because the Mets and Phillies are going to beat each other.

Braves Rumors: Mike Gonzalez, Ohman, Teixeira

Despite recent speculation about Mike Gonzalez's availability, MLB.com's Mark Bowman says the Braves reliever is not going anywhere. Bowman talked to a team official who seemed adamant about keeping Gonzalez. That is no surprise, since Gonzalez is under team control for '09 and Rafael Soriano is of questionable health.

Bowman adds that interest has picked up in another Braves lefty reliever, Will Ohman. The Braves apparently see Ohman as a Type B free agent and want a return better than the supplemental draft pick they could receive by letting him walk.

Similarly, the Braves will keep Mark Teixeira if they can't top the two draft picks they'd receive for him. The risk there would be if Baltimore signs Teixeira and their first round pick is protected.
Keep Mike Gonzalez he's too good

MIAMI -- While completing bullpen sessions at Dolphin Stadium on Tuesday evening, Braves lefties Tom Glavine and Mike Hampton both gained the sense that they could return to the rotation earlier than some might have expected.
In fact, Hampton -- who hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2005 -- believes he could be ready as early as next week.

While throwing between 35 and 40 pitches in the bullpen, Hampton didn't feel any troubling discomfort in the strained left groin that forced him to exit his Minor League rehab start at Double-A Mississippi on July 15.

Glavine plans to throw another bullpen session Friday and a modified session Sunday. Assuming he continues to progress, the 42-year-old hurler plans to throw a two-inning simulated game at Turner Field next week.

After the simulated game, Glavine would likely need to make at least a couple of Minor League rehab starts. With this timetable, he could return to the Atlanta rotation within the next three weeks.

Braves won Jair Jurrjens brought his A game vs the Phillies McCann hit 2 homeruns.

Tomorrow Mike Hampton will probably make his 1st start barring a freak injury.

Braves have said that Chipper Jones may need to go on the DL because of the strained hamstring against the Marlins.

Trade talks are ongoing about Teixeira and Will Ohman likely Ohman gets traded and Tex won't go.

I mostly see Will Ohman going because I think Tex will stay with the Braves for the rest of the season until the offseason hits.
