Deadset, that's been my drafting strategy, too. Fitz or Andre are better off in the 1st over LT, Westbrook, and DeAngelo

KLJ, how does Marion and Berrian for Slaton and DJax look?

parada - yeah it's tough. i like forte, dont get me wrong. rode him to a 3rd place finish last year. considering i also had brady as a 2nd round pick, that's not too bad. i was able to pick up rodgers after i lost brady and he did pretty well too. but yeah forte was great last year. as far as mjd, i likehim cause stewart is looking more and more like maroney durability wise. and he's the focus of the jaguar offense. i realize defenses will key on him, buthow is that different from last year. people definitely key on the jaguar ground game more anyway. the only question is can he handle a greater workload iguess.

purplenurple - yeah i think you, jpz, and i mentioned that whole strategy earlier in the thread. this will be the first year i try it out fully, so we'llsee how that goes.

Gimme some damn comments already

tom brady first overall? sounds like a deadsetace homer pick to me...

approved.jpg

but nah...

i like how you went fitz first. mjd and slaton i like a lot. good at TE. marshall is a liability but if his situation is straightened out, thats a solid onetwo WR combo. im not a huge palmer fan. bmore defense is obviously nice...kinda high pick tho but they do serious work. pierre thomas as number 3 isn't tootoo horrible.

laugh.gif
dude was absent from the draft and he told us he wanted Brady with his first pick... and he drew the 1st Ovl pick... I certainly wasnt mad about it
laugh.gif

And then i think some people panicked and started grabbing up QBs in the 1st
laugh.gif

Another team with Pierre and Ward?
laugh.gif

Beanie Wells in the 5th round? Flacco and Sanchez over Cutler? Cutler lasting until the 12th round? Madness.

laugh.gif
well im going shopping on the FA market as soon as these rosters go live.

I think Pierre is gonna be legit... Ward i wasnt sure about but in the 9th or 10th i figured id try it out.

Dont even talk bout dude taking creampuff Beanie and Randy McMichael before the 6th
laugh.gif
hes an idiot, i like taking his money

Team 5 drafted Thomas Jones twice?
laugh.gif

Your team looks pretty serious, though. Without thinking about it too much, I'd say you have a top three team right now. Team 1 and maybe Team 9 lookslightly stronger.

Fraij... for a PPR league, how in the HELL did MJD last so long?! Your team is STACKED with Slaton, MJD and Fitz... disgusting.

Oh the 2nd Thomas Jones was supposed to be FELIX Jones
laugh.gif

Input error... Im commish and these fools were complaining when i took more than a damn minute to pick my dudes while i recorded every cot damn pick.
smh.gif
smh.gif

And Chester i dunno why MJD Fell... had a lot to do with people freaking out about QBs after Tom went #1 i think
laugh.gif
... i had to play it cool and stick to mygameplan though

he was a last minute replacement to make 10 teams... came with no list at all and im pretty sure he had been

Just finished a 12 team 2 qb league. Never did 1 like that before, and QB's were FLYING off the charts. Took a gamble with carson we'll see if it paysoff

I had the 8th pick overall.

Everything is stretched out soo thinly.

whats the opinion on Carson Palmer? will he be back? what round would you draft him in

I guess it really depends on the type of league your in. In my league i drafted him in the 4th round. Took a gamble and choose him over Matt Ryan, hopefullyit works out. Palmer is an excellent QB, just depends on his surrounding cast as well.

I like your QBs and RBs but you need a lot of help at WR. You have plenty ofdepth at RB....I would advise you to trade either Kevin Smith or Fred Jackson (or a combo of the two) to try to get another receiver. Trade Fred Jackson whilehis stock his "high" since you won't be using him for the first 3 weeks anyway (and that's the only time he'll start or get the majorityof the carries).

If you improve your receivers your team is solid.

Why the hell do you have 4 QBs?
laugh.gif

I really like your RBs and starting WRs...you might need to get some better depth at WR though. I would get rid of 1-2 of your QBs to get more WRs...

Keller and Carlson will both be solid this year and I really like Warner even if he might be a "boring" pick by some people's standards. Nomatter how boring he is...the Cardinals are a passing-oriented team and he'll be throwing to three guys that finished last year with over 1000 YDs.Depending on how Brady performs, I definitely think Warner could be a Top 2 or 3 QB this season.

Your teams good, but you need better depth at WR like I said.

Eh...your team needs work.

Your starting RBs are sitting good right now but it seems like Jacobs has SOME kind of injury every year where he ends up missing time and with that inconsideration your RB depth is pretty weak. Try to get some better options....you won't be able to plug in Taylor or Norwood and expect numbers out of themever. With the offenses they're in or the guy they have in front of them....they'll be so off and on this season.

I like Carson and Garrard....I think I read somewhere that Garrard has finished in the Top 10 QBs the past 2-3 seasons or something? Consistency
smokin.gif
....and if Carson returns to his old form you'll be sitting pretty. Butthat's a big "if".

Not sure how I feel about Antonio Bryant either....last year he had a proven veteran in Jeff Garcia throwing to him but chances are this year he'll bereceiving passes from Josh Freeman.....which basically means you're sure to see a dip in production. We'll see though.

your RBs.
laugh.gif

They're pretty terrible man. Last year Thomas Jones benefited greatly from Brett Favre during those 12 games when Favre was healthy, but this yearhe'll have work with a rookie QB or Kellen Clemens
ohwell.gif
....I don'tlike it. Plus, reports are showng Shonn Greene is going to get his work in and you know Leon Washington will get his numbers.

Your WRs are beautiful though. They might just carry your team. Greg Olsen will have a good year with Cutler as well.

Good team...you have a lot of upside guys like Brown and McCoy so if they have breakout years and move into the starting spot whether it's because ofinjury or just good play, your team will be in good shape.

at being able to startBrees AND Brady....that's a good look.

You need help at WR....I would start Hines over Bryant though man. I see Antonio Bryant experiencing a dip in production....last year he benefited fromcatching passes from a proven veteran in Jeff Garcia but now he will have to work with Josh Freeman, a rookie.

I love your RBs though....if Westbrook is inconsistent or is injured you can plug in Marshawn (after WK3 of course) and then Kevin Smith will be heavilydepended on in Detroit.

Your team is pretty solid, but like I said, try to get some help at WR.

Yeah I def need more WR depth, I actually just picked up Edge and dropped Robinski haha. I dont plan on keeping all these RB or QB at this point im just tryingto get the best players available and turn them into stuff I need. And i have no intention of keeping Vick once he is no longer IR eligible I just like havinghim on my team haha.

I hear ya. It's not the type of team I'm use to seeing in my reg 10 man 1 QB system. (2 wr 2rb & w/r)

When it came down to me picking bryant, i forgot who else was available. It literally came down to like the 8 second mark, and I was thinking of going eitherwith him or gambling on Braylon and see if he would be able to have a bounce back year. Depth was hard to get at RB, especially without killing my otherpositions. Steve Smith came back to me round 3.. and by the time 4th round came.. 10 qbs were already off the board. Fred Taylor and norwood were both 13-14round choices with barley anything left. I think Taylor might get some production, theres still no clear cut starter in NE, and they love spreading the ballaround.

Jenkins I like, feel like with all the other playmakers on that Atlanta team this year, Jenkins and slip through that D and receieve a bomb with his speed
