New Orleans has acquired J. Bayless from Portland for a future first-round draft pick, league source tells Y! Sports.

Hornets will send Blazers their 2011 first-round pick for Jerryd Bayless, source says

Hornets coach Monty Williams is a big believer in Bayless and it gives Chris Paul a backup and a guard he can sometimes play together with.

He's not a sharpshooter like Miller, but Ime Udoka would be an okay fill-in. Another one of those guys that does the little things... hustles a ton. Maybe Jerry Stackhouse. He carved out a nice year with the Bucks last season. I dunno, just throwing out names.
The Heat signed Stackhouse. Udoka looks good on paper to be the next Bowen, but he can't shoot. If Finley had legs to play defense, he would still be serviceable. Better shooter than Stackhouse and Udoka.

Damn, there weren't any other shooters available?? Stack is a decent fit but I really don't see him stretching any defenses at this point in his career. $+!+ around, Riley could've probably got Reggie out of retirement.

And Bayless in NO is a good look for him. If he doesn't make it work here, then I don't know what else to say in his defense.

Not saying they're Mike Miller but James Jones has been shooting a nice 3pt point shot this preseason & House is no slouch neither.

^Truth. I was concerned how our bench perimeter play would pan out but pre-season has been a pleasant surprise from 3pt range.

Maybe now he will get a chance to shine in New Orleans. Bayless & Thornton are gonna be an exciting back court to watch.
