Pro, I'm sure they Nuggets are asking/wanting Fields in return for Melo. But if I were the Knicks, I would try my best to keep Fields out of the four youngsters. You're right about Randolph being gone. I'm disappointed in his play this season, I thought he would thrive in this system. Also, the Knicks should try and get Birdman (or Williams) and Carter from the Nuggets too. They need another decent big and serviceable backup PG on the team.

that bench is not as deep as I was told earlier in the season, so it's not like depth isn't already a problem
unless the bench guys play like quality starters, Mike simply won't play more 6 guys with 1 or 2 more getting scrap minutes. He started off the year going 9 deep and it was fine but then the losing started and he ditched it. I dislike that about him more than anything else, lack of defense included.

I would too Nas but it just all depends on Denver at this point.  If they decide to keep him, make another run then we're better off in the long haul.  If they decide to sell now (or sometime in the next month), they're going to be high with their demands and want as many pieces back as they can get.  If they can't get their price by the two days before the deadline and are bent on trading him, I believe we can get him for a bargin.  NJN is not going to bend and trade for him as a rental and if he really won't sign an extension unless it's with New York then Denver will learn from Cleveland and Toronto and get what they can for him whether it be now or in February.
