theres no reason u cant at least get a lottery pick for pau gasol. melo is "unhappy" in denver and look at what the nets are offering. favors (number 3 overall pick) and like 2 more draft picks, one of which is sure to be a lotto pick.

Pau wasn't considered to be on the same level as Melo when he was in Memphis. He only made one all-star game and he wasn't considered probably even a top PF during that time period. He didn't get that much recognition.
When we had Pau on the trade block, teams would've been throwing everything at us if that was the case. And we could've got Lamar Odom in the deal for Pau, but we wanted Marc instead. Kobe wanted to actually keep Marc. What the Nets offering isn't really that much better than what we got anyway.
Marc can basically be considered a lottery pick from the 08' draft and we got 2 first rounders and Critt who was a 1st rounder. How hard is that to understand? On top of that, we got $10 mil in cap space from Kwame. The only reason why people hate it is because the Lakers are a great team after the move. I guess if we made the same exact trade with a team like the Twolves or Raptors nobody would be complaining.
Did anybody catch his giveaway's on Twitter today? I was downtown when he posted it and if you were in Memphis you had to take a pic with two thumbs up in front of the Elvis statue and you won the giveaway. It was like 32 different areas you could go around the U.S. As soon as I got off work I went to the statue to take the pic.
