Seriously. Smith has always been good for at least 5-7 wins which will not nearly be enough to draft Luck (unless he falls off this season). If we wanted to get the #1 pick, we would start Kaepernick and throw him to the wolves.

Bucs aren't trading Josh Johnson, so that would be the only way. He seems to want to play here, and if Alex Smith sucks again he could want to come here and compete with Kaepernick for the starting job.
