Xavier Henry has been impressive in these two preseason game.

Lakers have a knack for finding guys who were once highly thought of but never put it together and having them flourish in LA.

Ariza, Shannon Brown, Earl Clark. Xavier could do it this season in LA.
throw enough **** at the wall it will stick

Or maybe its a question of those guys going to a team that already had a bunch of good players, so they had no real pressure or expectations on them and could just play. If you look at what Brown and Ariza have done after leaving the Lakers, kind of looks like they both benefitted from good situations in LA moreso than just not living up to their potential before they got to the Lakers. We'll see what happens with Clark this season.

Teams like the Lakers, Yankees, and now the Patriots always find gems like this.

I think that this is due to players being more inspired to play for these teams because of their glorious histories.

Some of these underachieving players get a fire lit under them in these situations due to the championship environments.

They just get more spotlight playing with a great player or in a big city

its not the city, its the team environment. winning teams breed winning players, this also happens with the spurs and heat. when a team has developed a winning system it makes it easier for new players to come in and flourish.

Tbh it probably has more to do with the fact that these players are best suited for limited, complimentary roles, as oppose to being depended upon to before than a role player.

Nah IMO it isn't necessarily the winning team, winning culture, etc.

These are decent/good players who are playing with HoF players. This allows these players to play in a limited role, which allows them to shine and makes them look better than they actually are.

They look great because they aren't being asked to do much on these teams. They are conforming to a limited role.

Nah he's better, more athletic and a lot bigger than Marshall. He can get to the basket at will and is a pretty good finisher but he's gonna have to be able to atleast make the wide open shots they're giving him sometimes. And he needs to stop getting stuck in the air and throwing the ball into traffic.
When the season starts he wont be able to get the the cup. Defenses are gonna be playing off him daring him to shoot.
