I never understood why guys like Gerald Green, James White etc didn't try some Olympic type jumping events
I know it's not as lucrative/cool as playing in the NBA but they're not mutually exclusive...years of work with the right coaching couldn't they do pretty well ?

James White in his prime was awe inspiring, dude really had unlimited hang time. Sucks he didn't develop other parts of his game, could have been one of the best NBA contest dunkers ever

He only tried once, at the age of 30, and he is a dunk contest choker anyways. Doesn't minimize that still there is or very close to nobody doing those dunks he has been doing since high school. He was able to high jump 7ft with poor technique when he was in college, he would just jump over the bar all incorrectly because he had made some sort of deal with the track coach that he wouldn't practice since he was focused on basketball

Why are y'all shocked at Gerald Green's bunnies? He been serious for a while, I mean he blew the candle out on a cupcake. BUT, they have improved since then which is amazing. I'm still surprised he dunked with only socks on, that could have been bad.
