I don't about the has-beens.. As long as we have chemistry and get our game right
agree with everything but the opening statement. you absolutely can not say the spurs won with has-beens. the term has-beens is literally referring to players that used to be great and have fallen off. to even suggest the spurs are has beens suggest that tony parker is not still a top 5 pg, that duncan is still not a top 5 pf, that kawhi and green are both past their primes and not just stepping into it. no, the spurs did not win with has-beens. mcgrady is a has-been. arenas is a has-been. granger and shannon brown are has-beens. if youre still in the top 5... ur not a has been.I concur, the Spurs win with "has beens" and look how great they've been over the last two seasons. It not just talent... its about having character guys who are hungry to win.
I hope Spo adopts a more fluid offense. Last few years LeBron has been the main catalyst and for all of his assist, at times he still held on to the ball stagnating the offense. Now that he's gone they should be forced to play that fluid game.
I actually like the Shannon Brown acquisition. He's athletic and has championship experience.
I'm sure this Heat team will be hungry to win this season. Everyone has something to prove.
Bosh needs to prove he can lead his team.
Wade has to prove he still has it.
Chalmers has to prove he isn't a screw up.
Granger and Deng have to prove he can rebound from their injuries.
Shabazz has to prove he belongs in the NBA.
Spo has to prove he can turn "has beens" into a Championship caliber squad.
The whole Heat organization has to prove they can move on without LeBron. They have to prove their organization is stronger the one player.

James Ennis hasn't touched an NBA floor yet, although I have high hopes for him. Our team is full of question marks right now. I have 0 faith in spoelstras coaching so hopefully this really works out
i wish to hear absolutely nothing about how spoelstra's coaching isnt laughable. he has never shown out against a strong coach. we always skate by off sheer talent/star power or lose embarrassingly. spoelstra doesnt know what it means to make an ingame adjustment outside of changing the lineup at halftime.Every team has question marks at this point. Cavs have a rookie head coach and a PG who is prone to injuries. Chicago the biggest question is Derrick Rose. Spurs are a year older... can they pull it off again? Who would've known the Spurs would be as good as they were last season after suffering such a devastating lost to the Heat?
And for you to have no faith in Spolestra is just laughable. The guy has made the playoffs every year he's been the head coach, has won two championships and a third as an assistant.
And before you bring up LeBron... just remember Phil Jackson has 11 Championships with Jordan, Kobe, and Shaq on his teams and is considered the greatest coach ever. Popavich doesn't win any Championships without Tim Duncan and is considered the best coach in the league. No coach wins championships without great talent.
What more does the man have to do for you to believe he's a good coach. Play Beasely, go undefeated, win 4 championships in a row?
....He out coached pop in the series in 2013. It's the reason we won the series. You don't think sitting wade so LeBron could run with shooters and spread the floor takes coaching?.
did u watch this years post season or.....I'd love to hear some examples of why you think Spo is so inept
like i said... ill let it go because clearly me and most of you have different definitions of "coaching" yall seem to think as long as we win, we were coached well. i think differently. i expect coaches to make plays and adjustments. to see something not working and make a change instead of wait it out. to take control of his players instead of wait for them to "flip a switch" ]The Spurs shot what felt like 90% from the field, no coaching in the world was goin to stop that.
Again the only coaching change option Spo had was to play Beasley. But up until THIS series Spo had no reason to think the team would die the way it did.
We watched this Heat team turn it off and on for 3 solid years. Hell they did it to send the Nets home that last game. But this time it didn't work. Every time we got close enough, we never hit the 3 to put us over the top. Then the Spurs would reel off 8-10 unanswered
That's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes
"HE HAS A LITTLE AFRICAN IN HIM"
These words were recently used to describe me. It would ordinarily make any African parent proud to hear their child recognized for their heritage.
I'm proud to say I actually have a lot of African in me, not just "a little". For my entire life, my identity has been a source of pride and strength. Among my family and friends, in my country of South Sudan and across the broader continent of Africa, I can think of no greater privilege than to do what I love for a living while also representing my heritage on the highest stage. Unfortunately, the comment about my heritage was not made with the same respect and appreciation.
Concerning my free agency, the focus should purely have been on my professionalism and my ability as an athlete. Every person should have the right to be treated with respect and evaluated as an individual, rather than be reduced to a stereotype. I am saddened and disappointed that this way of thinking still exists today. I am even more disturbed that it was shared so freely in a business setting.
However, there is comfort in knowing that there are people who aren't comfortable with it and have the courage to speak up. In the same way a generalization should not define a group of people, the attitude of a few should not define a whole organization or league.
Ultimately, I’m thankful to be with an organization that appreciates me for who I am and has gone out of its way to make me feel welcome.
