According to some people on here, the only good coaches in NBA history are Jackson, Popovich and Riley

No wayI literally had just happened in, and saw that as the last reply. *MJ shrugs*I didn't even put the batsignal on.Originally Posted by CP1708Yes, we can just ignore the 10 missteps already made by their front office and pretend those didn't take place or that they matter.Originally Posted by DarthSka
MDA on the Pelicans would be dope.
Then when they underachieve, the narrative about not having a complete roster can continue and his legacy as the GOAT to never manke the Finals can continue.
Thibbs and Doc tho, those are some coaches.
Most championship teams are either heavily balanced, or have supreme individual talent. (I.E. Lebron's heat, or the 2014 spurs, or the 11 mavs, or the 2010 Lakers, or the 08' Celtics ) They are also Lucky. So those of you who don't think the Clippers have what it takes since they're obviously out, I've got a question.
Do you think the champion every year is simply a matter of the league's best roster?
My answer: no way. It's just the team that outplayed their opponent every round.
"Well yeah, they outplayed them because their roster was better."
No. The roster looks awesome because they've outplayed 4 straight teams in 4 straight series.
I don't think the champion every year is the best roster, not by a long shot. Sometimes, sure, but not even close to every year.
Ya know, I used to get killed on here for saying how I felt coaching only marginally matters, but I legit don't know who NT considers a good coach aside from Pop. Seems like all successful teams are successful in spite of their coaches according to NT.According to some people on here, the only good coaches in NBA history are Jackson, Popovich and Riley

6th pick for Lawson and Faried plsDenver needs to blow that up.
Apparently the Kings tried to hire Gentry as Malone's lead assistant last summer and told him that they would soon be firing Malone and give him the head job. Then he took the GSW job and snitched to Malone about the Front Offices plan
no you don'tI honestly feel for Kings fans. They finally get rid of the Maloofs and get these morons
I hope notWhere does Thibs end up this summer?
If he's smart..New Orleans
This proves it.Phil went to 13 Finals in 19 seasons.
The years he didn't?
94, after 3 straight Finals
95
03, after 3 straight Finals
06, Smush, Kwame, Luke Walton 60% starting lineup
07, Smush, Kwame, Walton 60% starting lineup
11, after 3 straight Finals
There is no one even in the same ballpark as Phil.
He has THREE, 3Peats. And ran out of gas tryin for his 4th.
13 Finals, 19 seasons. Ab. Surd.
If we're going by NT standards...seems so[thread="624605"]So, [/thread]
[thread="624605"] [/thread]
[thread="624605"]over half of the league's teams have average to bad coaches?[/thread]
no you don't[thread="624605"] [/thread]

I see you
this is real.I really do
Like watching my Raiders continue to screw it up
I'm late to the party but the clippers bench was flawed both from a personnel standpoint and a strategically. I said it from the jump that you're going to die living off of Jamal Crawford isos. Teams with good benches rely on ball movement and scoring from a collection of guys. So yes, the bench was bad.
But with that said, the bench wasn't out there when Paul and blake couldn't score in the 4th quarter of game 6. That wasn't Lester Hudson out there not being able to beat Jason terry off of the dribble. Hawed wasn't out there looking timid at the top of the key. And game 7 was over in the first quarter. Cp3 didn't look to score until it was too late.
I look at how wall competed in game 6 vs Atl and how his hands were all over the game in a losing effort. I didn't get that from Paul yesterday
this is real.I really do

The parallels between the franchise is eerie |I
To me the actual sets teams run matter little, especially in the playoffs when after a game or 2 both teams know each other's sets. Also, most teams run the same sets with minor deviation. The ability of your players to read and react make sets work in the NBA.If we're going by NT standards...seems so
I think Spoelstra is a good coach too. Kidd also. Other squads I don't get to watch enough to even judge and I'll even admit that I'm not great at recognizing a good amount of plays while they are unfolding like some of y'all are.
Well Phil is the god to me so of course.Phil went to 13 Finals in 19 seasons.
