he put up a jordan clarkson esque statline in a very winnable game that could have put his team up 2-0 vs the defending champs

you must have very low expectations for him if you think that's acceptable


any other "top 5" player does that and im calling him out too 

Jordan Clarkson puts up that statline on a garbage team, with nothing to play for and minimal talent on the roster. Its a ridiculous comparison.

If Blake scores on that one play instead of turning the ball over, we aren't even having this discussion. Paul played well enough to put his team in a position to win the game. If he decided to shoot 35 times to "try" in the way you want him too, the game probably wouldn't have been that close. That's not how he's wired and that's not how the Clippers are constructed.

shooting is not the only way to constantly attack the defense, he also had 7 assists in 43 minutes. clippers are great in the regular season when he puts his teammates in positions to score. not when he passes the ball to blake 25 feet from the rim, requiring blake to make a move on his own. 

if you're not shooting you should be attacking the defense which naturally creates open looks for your teammates. or you should be attacking yourself. chris paul didnt do enough of either to win the game

but lets keep blaming all his teammates like every other year of his career

Yeà but I don't think that GS game was similar to the Spurs game in any way

Clips wet the bed but Curry surely had more room for error than Paul did and Paul could have definitely won that game, not something really measurable imo

Nobody's saying he's without fault. That's in your head. Both erupt and me criticized him for passing the ball to Blake in that situation. But you're claim that he wasn't trying to win and playing it safe is silly.
