To my knowledge it a simple rating of points allowed per 100 possession when your on the court.

If he's really doing this all for his sons, than props to him but it seems like this is to get himself shine furthermore. If these kids don't live up to the hype, he's going to look more foolish than he already does PLUS his kids could end up resenting him for putting the added pressure on them.
If Lonzo becomes this supernova though, Lavar will look like a genius.

There really is no defensive stat that's perfect.
You really have to use the eye test along with multiple stats and even then you have to know what schemes are being ran.

People love espn' s DRPM but I thinks it's garbage. Any stat that says Robert Covington is the best defensive SF and kawhi Leonard is 21st is trash in my opinion.

A quick snapshot of points per possession. Now it's not factoring in defensive matchups but still. T1000 probably isn't high cause guys don't challenge him. Dirk is high because he's always guarding the worst of the two bigs. Basically it's hard to quantity defense.

Wall has been shooting 25-30% from 3 and 40% from 2 his whole career.(and still is)
Surging back from a slow start and finally averaging 20per game warrants some recognition (again keep in mind dude has the best line in the whole NBA beside him) but like Father Ball forcing fans to root against him, you're a one man wrecking crew for the future of Washington on this Board.

One would think you are describing Magic Johnson, it's just 1 semi-excellent Season for once.

How do you explain the teams start this year? If they have the best lineup in the NBA why does local media, his teammates and John himself credit the turn around to him getting into shape?
How come when it comes to Wall his offense is brought up to show his weaknesses but we avoid everything else he does great. When I say Howard is a poor offensive player everyone then goes nuts about defense? I don't goal post move. Everyone else does. I haven't heard one person bring up Currys gravity in a few weeks now but before this mystical stat was used repeatedly to show how he's the better player.
