I had a sense Jimmy and Wade both might show up since MJ was likely going to be courtside, but now I'm watching this game back, and I mean.......how do you start any and every PG you have except Rondo?

Trey Burke is the backup PG. Nobody on planet Earth believes Burke playing 5 more minutes over Wall a game has no effect on the outcome. Has no effect on the teams success. That's your argument. Father Ball is well into the tens of Millions in free advertisement. He's explicitly exploiting his sons.
I know how I feel about my Father, and I'm not sure I'd have an issue with what he is doing if I were their age.
I think I'd embrace it and be very fond of it TBH.
At 18 I was balling on a budget, and no way was I prepared mentally to be against something like this. You know they are thick as thieves and close as hell and respect the hell out of their dad so.....at the end of the day my hats kind of off to the guy.
Not easy to finesse Millions in advert for absolutely $0(though the overall cost may eventually show to be more on many other levels)

This tourney is going to say a lot about Lonzo. His pappy has been running his mouth for months now on Lonzo's greatness. He knows eyes are going to be on him.
Pops probably had the right idea but his execution/attitude about it just seems pompous.
Bigging up your sons isn't the issue and every parent should do that for their children but when you start looking for the cameras to talk about how your son who is in college, is already better than a MVP player who has won at the game's highest level, it looks crazy. Add in the notion that you could body the guy who is WIDELY regarded as the best ever to do it and then it becomes more of a circus.
I think I'd much rather be the pops that tells my kids, you could be the greatest in anything, let them do it and then if asked about their greatness, state that I knew it all along. My kids would know that I knew and I would know it. That would be enough for me. To each is own though.
