powerhouse. Josh Rosen's high school. Wife's nephew is being "looked at" to play OL for them (currently a freshmen at another school) but they aren't sure he'll get big enough. Want him to put on 30 more pounds by June and then they will revisit. 6'3 255lbs and he might not be big enough for them! As a freshmen.

So you're saying if he gets up 30 he'll magically have a new address come new school year?

Bosco's private. They recruit, it's no secret.

This isn't like when kids suddenly have p.o. Boxes in Lincoln High's school zone.

no, just the "chance" to be looked at by that program. They want him, but no guarantee in playing time. When you're that big, you can't risk not being a starter. That program just brings in the best competition so you never know.

His pops is all caught up with the name of that program but doesn't understand the risk. Confidence in his kid.

@casper90403
you should tell your nephew just to chill and let his body grow into that naturally.  Too young to be trying to put on 30 in 6 months.

I do. His pops is the one thats putting pressure on him because of the good ole scholarship that will come his way, which he'll get regardless but its a difference of playing for a high level pac-12 or playing at somewhere like San Diego State. Dad wants him to play at Oregon.

He's one of those Dads.

Crazy thing is he's not even a fat kid. Legit carries his weight extremely well. Well enough to play some on the defensive side, which is where he wants to really play. But when you're 14, 6'3 and 255, EVERYBODY wants you to play OL (and you have some Polynesian in you).

Just hoping he doesn't burn out. He played for a great program this year but came off the bench, which i thought was good for him and his body.

He probably isn't even done growing. Sounds ridiculous to slap 30 pounds on him right now

he definitely isn't.

Thats competitive high school football right there. Do whatever it takes. I don't agree with it. High stakes business for some.

I actually think he can put 30 lbs in 6 months without trying hard. But the point is there's not even a guarantee he gets playing time with them.

There aren't many ages where 30 lbs in 6 months is good for you

muscle or not
There aren't and realistically the only way your slapping on 30 pounds at any age and having it be mostly muscle in 6 months is if your hoping on that bike.  The kid is way too young to consider something like that just to play at Bosco.

The Minnesota football team with the support of their coach planned to boycott the Holiday bowl and all other football activities until 10 players were reinstated following an indefinite suspension. The players who are accused of sexually assaulting a female student at a party escaped criminal charges after the DA decided not to prosecute but there school after an investigation found them guilty under title ix and suspended them.

The team demanded the players be reinstated... until a local news organization released the police report of the incident.

It's an awful look for the players and the whole program.

The report if you feel like throwing up:

For the record only 10 players were identified. There could have been as many as 20 involved.

After reading that report, I think those kids need to end the protest immediately. I was on their side at first, but now I think these kids are incredibly lucky not to be sitting in jail right now

The report is pretty bad. The attorney mentioned the video that goes against the facts in the report, unless there's an additional one.

The video mentioned is a total of 90 seconds.
If that girl said No after 90 seconds, it's still rape.

If she felt forced and did it just to escape what she thought was perceived threat or harm it's still sexual assault.

These kids boycotting is idiotic.
The school has a lower atandard of evidence than a criminal trial its similar to a civil case.

Antone Winfield and crew need to be better parents.
Very disturbing

McCaffery is passing on the sun bowl to prepare for the draft.

UNC might have a chance to hold Stanford under 300 yards rushing now
