Athlon has Michigan at #4 preseason but says they have the #6 toughest schedule in the nation... They are a little sketchy on their reasoning

You mean this one? https://athlonsports.com/college-football/very-early-college-football-top-25-2017

FWIW Athlon's poll is based on how the believe the season will finish, and not a power ranking of the top 25 teams right now. For Michigan to make it into the CFBP at #4 they would need to go 11-1, hope PSU goes 10-2, and UF win the east probably.

I got them going 10-2 personally with L's to OSU, and either UF or Wiscky. Not worried about PSU TBH.

That ASU-Zona game is probably going to a loser leaves town match

Still think both those guys are quality coaches, but the PAC 12 is probably the conference with the best collection of coaches in the country.

I can definitely see the loser of that game becoming unemployed.

EJ Price to U.K. According to him Helton pulled strings to get him a P5 spot without having to go JuCo by keeping him enrolled and on scholarship taking classes. It's a good look for Helton.

Freshman lineman Rutger Reitmaier leaving Oregon Ducks: Reports

Updated to include Manu will not play for UO in 2017

Oregon's rebuilding defense has lost a promising young lineman.

Rutger Reitmaier, a freshman from Nashville, did not respond to a text message seeking comment late Sunday, but his biography is no longer listed on the team roster. 247Sports was first to report Sunday that Reitmaier intends to transfer before ever taking an official snap for the Ducks. The decision comes two weeks before fall camp opens July 31 in Eugene for the 2017 season.

The 6-foot-3, 281-pound Reitmaier committed to Oregon in June 2016 after a recruitment by then-coordinator Brady Hoke. In the wake of coach Mark Helfrich's firing in late November, and the purging of his staff, Reitmaier stuck by his commitment and, after being selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, enrolled at UO in time to take part in spring practice.

Reitmaier was expected to be a promising piece along a defensive line that is rebuilding following last season's massive attrition due to injuries and suspensions.

Oregon suffered another hit to its defensive line depth one day after Reitmaier's departure when Rex Manu was lost for 2017.

A UO spokesman Monday morning said in an email to The Oregonian/OregonLive that Manu "is not competing in football this fall because of medical reasons." Manu had 19 total tackles in two seasons and has a redshirt year available.[/quote]

Elijah Blades ended up not being able to qualify at Nebraska either. To those who followed his recruitment it's why he had to decommit from UF and SC wouldn't take his silent after.

Dude has NFL talent though.
