"The Nets have waived Greivis Vasquez."
Is he injured ? If he was cheap they should've kept him.

“We got 10 new guys, so everything is a work in progress,’’ Rambis said. “If we had everybody healthy and everybody here and playing, it still was going to be a process and take some time. Just simple terminology. It may be the same defensive action, but everyone calls it something different. So it’s just getting everyone knowing the same terminology and play calls, so everybody’s on the same page. Everybody’s got to be on the string. It takes all five guys to stop a pick-and-roll situation in this league. Everyone’s got to be communicating well. Right now we’re not connected.’’
Porzingis has struggled defensively and has gotten into foul trouble on occasion, including in Sunday’s loss to the Jazz. The Knicks associate coach said he thinks Porzingis plays defense too much with his hands.
“We don’t like those kind of fouls when guys are reaching and grabbing, particularly when someone like him gets in foul trouble,’’ Rambis said. “You have to play defense with feet and body and take hands out of the picture. That’s an easy call for referees when you reach in.
“He’s got to be able to move his feet and use his verticality . He’s 7-foot-3. Challenge guys to make shots over the top of you, rather trying to reach down low.”
Foul trouble hasn’t been as big an issue as feared with Porzingis, but Rambis suggested the Latvian sometimes gets tentative on defense when he’s in foul trouble.
“Knowing how important you are to the ballclub too, you can’t take the rest of the night off if you are in foul trouble: ‘I’m not going to play defense because I got fouls,’’’ Rambis said. “He’s got to learn. He’s a young player. He’s got to learn to keep himself in ballgames and still be a contributor to the team.’’
I'd be surprised if he did because he's not playing tonight (hamstring)
True but stay out of Staten Island. It's another world down there.
on a more important note, regarding last night's results, we here in nyc are somewhat lucky to live in a bit of a political bubble - somewhat protected from the truly ignorant scum that have elevated this cretin to office, but we need to look out for another and pass that it along to others who need it now more than ever. this is truly a sad day to witness, but it's also been a culmination of the hate that white america has harbored since the inception of this country. peace to all of sound minds and conscience

bruhPut 2016 in rice.
There is no way we lose to the Nets tonight.
They're on a back to back off a tough win against Minnesota last night and we had plenty of time to rest and prep for this game.
