Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

Idk why you guys are blaming Horny. Rambis is our defensive coach and it's clear as day that as soon as he took over with that tag our defensive effort/rotations/schemes drastically worsened.

Our fake comeback started when he got in them game

Kuz, Baker and Billy were the only Knicks in the plus last night

Our coach is a ******* idiot man

Does this negro have to drop 30 in 10 minutes to see he's a positive impact on the team ?

He has a great feel for the game and stabilizes the offense and gets after it on D

Perfect contrast to the chaos that is Rose and Jennings

the teams problems is all over the place.

the saddest part ? we're exactly what ESPN, all the National media, most basketball fans thought we were :x :smh:

mediorce *** team. lucky to hit 40 wins at this pace.

we have to go 5-3 to match last years total of 22-22 :frown:

im not happy with this team. really hard to root for. the excuses were built in last night and guys took it and ran with it.

:frown:

We're a bad defensive team & the offense isn't good enough to make up for it.

At least we have our draft pick

Those who follow the NCAA what PGs or defensive minded forwards would fall in that 10-16 range?

Said it in preseason. Those dudes always come at our necks in preseason and once the season is done and dusted we never prove them wrong.

It's been stated here before but it's crazy that even with all the changes in this team, aside from that one good season, this team's DNA hasn't changed at all since the dark ages began.

I'm not even gunna blame Dolan dude spent crazy money to give Phil Jackson the keys and we're still as soft as the Isiah days when we had 30 combo guards and a formidable frontline.

Essentially the same **** team for almost 15 years. Different pieces, same problems, losing the same way and everything. How's that even possible?

I disagree with the offense part. I think we have a ton of firepower as we can score a ton. Now I absolutely agree with the defense assessment.

2012 we were a top 5 defense and hit a **** ton of threes. That should forever be our identity. Oh and Melo played the 4

Was there too... Was at every playoff game that year. Except the last pacers game.

Still got the towels from each game.

:smh:

3s and defense was the identity of the NBA for the last 6-7 years now. Yet idk wtf we're building.

That Knicks team hit the most threes in NBA history at that point.

Melo was the prototype "small ball stretch 4" 27,8,4 while shooting 40℅ from 3

Dantoni laid the blueprint but Woodson, Kidd, and the vets mastered it.

Kidd, Tyson, Shumpert, and even JR had the defense stout

Novak, Melo, JR, Kidd, Sheed was bombing threes on the opposition every game

Good times

Idk why we don't play Melo and KP at the 4 and 5 against 90% of the league. Only against teams with big men like Cousins should KP be at the 4.
