Well yea my former team mate Kobe Paras played D1 last year (yambs are solid tho for him) but did not do to well but the thing is here in the Philippines asians develop their bodies late so that reduces the chance and some of the guys coming out. Some of the players from the poor families reportedly get offers to try out in schools like Butler for example but the colleges here offer as high as $80 000 plus $1 000 every month as allowance to play for colleges here i cant blame them for taking the bag

Interesting and a small world. Creighton is in my home town.

I just couldn't remember the last time a saw a Filipino play college basketball. I know Corey Jefferson was over there getting 40 and 20 all the time. There's probably a market here for some of their good guards if they want to play college basketball

My alma mater literally signed the Filipino Kobe this year.

Did you follow the team last season?

I was in school when we made the tourney and almost upset Tyreke's Memphis' team in a #2/#15 matchup. Since then we've been banned from the postseason almost every year  We self-imposed a postseason ban again last season and the NCAA just upheld the ban and also took away 2 scholarships  :smh:

We'll win another 10 or so games this season

That was my freshman year... I remember we had the lead at halftime and everyone was hyped at the pub

I really don't understand the, "TMAC shouldn't be named with KD" talk. Do we not remember what TMAC was doing in his prime? I know it is easy to forget how great certain folks are but damn

kd is a unicorn and has been a top 3 player for a long time now. Tmac is a lesser version of Kobe. Kd and Mac don't belong in the same sentence.
And I actually liked tmac more then I like kd.

I am moreso looking at play style.

Tmac is more like KD than Kobe.

Again, look at Prime TMAC. How doesn't THAT deserve to be in the same sentence as KD.

I guess we can disagree there

I really don't see that many similarities with kd and tmac. I disagree and think he's more Kobe lite then durant lite. He played sf and sg.
durant is literally a one of a kind player.
