Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons, the first pick in the 2016 NBA draft who missed last season due to a broken right foot, has been cleared for full basketball activity "for some time," an NBA source told the Bucks County Courier Times.

Center Joel Embiid, who was sidelined late last season due to a torn left meniscus, has yet to be cleared for full-court scrimmaging, the Courier Times reported. Embiid made his long-delayed NBA debut last season after missing two years due to foot surgeries.

Brad is going to troll the Cavs and call the 1 3 pick n roll every time down court like Bron did in the ECF

Hayward is going to feast vs Isaiah :smokin

i dont quite get the "cavs should trade the pick for cousins/gasol/pg13" talk
by doing that, they have to add some combination of bum *** players they currently have in JR, TT or JR
if boston couldnt get one of those guys with the pick with their young solid guys like bradley / crowder...what makes yall think a team is gonna give up a top 15-20 talent for Clevelands garbage?

if you really think about it, Boston really said, nah we dont want yall thrash, and in exchange yall can have this pick .

Ainge dodged the bullet of having to give an undersized scoring guard crazy money next off season, but at the same time has decimated this teams identity on the defensive end which is what made them a great team last year. Not sure how well jaylen and Tatum will play on defense. Smart is gonna be really important going forward.

Still don't know why the cavs didn't go after bledsoe. I'd take bledsoe over IT any day
I think you're getting your years mixed up.

They were top 5 two years ago, but barely above average last season.

They were great because they were difficult to defend & IT was one of the best late game players in the league.

They lose bradley's defense but Smart is still around like you mentioned. Bradley is a much better offensive player but they've also added Hayward.

Lose crowder, but Marcus morris is a capable defender.

They should be around average just like they were last year.

One of those guys not all three. Other complimentary players would more than likely follow. PG-13 and Cousins are expirings that haven't given the go ahead on extensions yet. Obviously they would have to get an assurance Lebron is resigning, to which they would have to agree to signing an extension as well. Would be a lot of handshake deals which tend to fall apart lately it seems, but that is probably the only chance any team has to beat GS.
I get the feeling PG doesn't care who is in LA, he is going no matter what. I think it will be hard to get him to stay in OKC or go to Cleveland. Gasol you talking Marc or Pau? Pau well he ain't leaving the Spurs no time soon after robbing them, also Marc I feel is just about to hit that downslide in his career.

Jr shot 80% in game 5 stop it.

Really no reason to have your facts this distorted with the existence of google

Explain how this draft class will be buns

I'm super off. I don't know too much about this upcoming draft class then. I will say however that you do whatever to keep Lebron and that means winning now. Trade the pick and put all the pieces around him and tell him to win or shut the hell up about not getting your way.

Cavs trading the pick would be disastrous for a myriad of reasons. Especially when they have ZERO chance of beating GS anyway. Any addition would mean they have to give up multiple pieces.

In other news...

Reggie Jackson/Ish Smith
Avery Bradley/Galloway/Kennard
Tobias Harris/Stanley Johnson
John Luer/Ellenson/Tolliver
Drummond/Boban

That is what I get to start this season, hate it or love it I ride with my guys man.

Yuck

I would hate the **** out of this team if I were a Pistons fan

kennard should not be the 3rd guard, hope he gets decent minutes out there
could easily slide him at the 3 and move harris to the 4

Like a max contract, which he'll inevitably get?

I'd say Boston facilitated that.

I think he's probably moreso referring to what IT did in wake of his sister's passing for the Celtics and for him to be moved in the fashion they did. Kenny Smith and othered echoed that sentiment last night when speaking on the trade, but thing is there's no loyalty from managments' perspective outside of a handful of players in league history (Magic, Duncan, Kobe, Bird) so don't be surprised if IT2 doesn't reciprocate that for the Cavs. I think it's less than a 50% chance that he stays.

Assuming they get Wade and have a Wade-Crowder-J.R./Shumpert rotation on the SG position, and they trade the pick + either Shumpert or J.R. for a quality defensive center, they would definitely have more than zero chance this upcoming season.

Zero, as in a big fat ZERO chance is what they would truly have if LeBron leaves next year. And that pick sure as hell ain't gonna make no difference then. It will help them "rebuild", but rebuild into a mediocre team, maybe a first round exit team if they're lucky and end up with someone good. But building a mediocre team is never hard. You're always one tanked season away from a high lottery pick. One season is all you'll have to sacrifice and that's it. And one season of sacrifice is nothing when you look at the big picture and the 48 seasons the Cavs franchise has existed and how they've never been remotely as competitive as they have over the last 3 seasons.
