But...they sort of do

It's the same as the Carmelo situation in Denver.

Sure there might be better deals out there...but when you have a player that's an impending UFA and he's demanding to go to one team and one team only...NOBODY is going to give up assets for a player who won't commit. So the team is FORCED to negotiate with the team that player wants to go to. The only alternative is forcing him to play the year out and watch him walk without getting anything back.

Yeah but Denver ended up playing the long game and fleecing the Knicks who got nervous. Who's to say Magic won't panic and do the same?
The Knicks are Knicks. Different franchise, different culture.

Different situation. The number 2 pick is only on the table until Thursday afternoon. Except they aren't trading Ingram or that pick which the Pacers want. Those are the parameters of starting a deal for Indy. It'll only get worse as time passes, Lakers are content to let him play out this season wherever and sign him in FA. This is all on the Pacers whether they want to get something for him.

Also PG isn't forcing his way to LA. He's perfectly fine with playing out this season in Indiana and walking. He's not doing a money grab like Melo was.

That has nothing to do with the position Denver was in tho. I'm strictly speaking on the leverage that the other team has.

The Knicks didn't HAVE to take that offer. He would have signed the following summer which is my point

The rules really don't allow you to post up efficiently. Unless the league changes something thats one the least efficient offensive plays you can have

With the way the NBA game is played nowadays it's actually more beneficial for a C to be able to shoot then have a post game... With that said I wouldn't mind having a DJ on my team. Dude is amazing at what he is supposed to do. Being in the Clippers system is more to blame for why he doesn't have a post game then his actual skill set.

I lean more to the idea that if someone was very efficient to post up regularly, it would work. League rules aside.

But usually, a player like THAT (traditionally) was limited from outside.

So having a complete skillset would be ideal

Can confirm Clippers reached out to Pacers about Paul George, as @ESPNSteinLine first reported. Clippers doing due diligence. Didn't get far

These ninjas don't even got players right now

How does Phil Jackson still have a job tho? :x

Has anything he's done actually benefited the Knicks?

Dave McMenaman
Josh Jackson did not work out for the Celtics on Tues, multiple sources tell ESPN. Two days before the draft, BOS still hasn't seen him.

Maybe they're trading for Jimmy B at the draft.

Danny Ainge waited all this time to trade for Jimmy Buckets....when he could have got it done at the trade deadline last season

Source tells SN @HoustonRockets
are actively shopping Patrick Beverley ahead of the draft. He'd welcome a trade.
