So how do these big one year deals work (Reddick and Amir Johnson).  Like if you play really well next year and these guys are KEY contributors its not like you can afford to re-sign these guys next summer IF you also plan on maxing out real superstars.  

Like are you gonna say "hey Lebron look we made the playoffs last year we are almost great and you can take us there" knowing that these 1 year contract guys aint coming back?  Aritificial inflation in wins.

I don't know how you can look at Boston's offseason so far and see it as anything but an abject failure. The only way for Ainge to salvage this offseason is to sign Gordon Hayward.
