Banana Boat crew would lose in 6 to the Warriors
It's not even about that.

It's about Lebron crossing yet another threshold and doing what he wanted which is "play with his friends before he retires".

It's now or never. Make it happen Lebron.....nothing else matters..

WHo knows, 5-7 years from now it may be more popular to build your teams within the League by just teaming up with the homies.

Trendsetting.

Thats actually a good point. Got rings, got accolades, loaves of bread. Spend the last couple years with your crew.

Said the same thing a few days ago. It'd be like the PBF/Mac fight. Yeah, they'll probably get washed but the circus around would be worth the entertainment.

Banana boat squad needs to happen within the next 2 years :smokin

Oh well warriors have an elite team ever assembled only thing that takes down super teams are money and injuries. Lakers would have won four straight if shaq wasnt stubborn with his recovery.

2 way means more than just offense/defense. It's having more than 1 function.

he's a scorer-playmaker. He HAS to be one of the best screening pg's in the game

This is not hat people mean when they say 2-way player

It means offense/defense

no i recognize that, it was why i added the explanation of what i meant in terms of curry.

and you left off the line in your quote that i made about his defense.

No way in the world curry a " 2-way player" When a team's whole offensive game plan is to attack you, probably means you ain't a "2-way player."

curry is average to good on defense though. so he's an average 2 way player, excelling on offense. whereas, kawhi is probably the best 2 way player, excelling on defense.

Being a '2 way player' is so overrated

If your offense is as good as Curry's it cancels out any struggles on the defensive end

How many dudes have Curry offensive ability though?

Being a decent 2 way guy makes you an asset for teams even if you might be slightly supbar offensively

Steph Curry is a good defender.

Steph Curry just can't guard 6'9 270lbs point forwards that are one of the best players of all time . And he can't guard Kyrie....who's one of the best offensive pgs in the damn NBA. Klay even got lit up by Kyrie....and he did a great job on him.

That's it. He's a great team defender, above average on ball. By no means is he a liability on the defensive end.

What does any of that matter?

Someone called Curry a 2 way player. People disagreed. Now it's, "well 2 way players are overrated."

That wasn't the initial discussion

so you don't think he's a 2 way player? he doesnt kill on offense and then play above average on defense?

curry plays average defense

but he doesnt even guard his position. he busts up the opposing teams point guard and is hidden on the opposing teams worst perimeter offensive player. while klay does the heavy lifting.

how hard is it to be average when you're in memphis and you are guarding tony allen instead of mike conley?

read an article that stated that this is where the issues from his peers comes from foundationally

and save that "saving his energy for the offensive end" argument...if he was an great to elite perimeter defender, he'd be guarding his position. klay doesnt tire out. he guards the star PGs and puts up 37 in a quarter and 61 in 3 quarters.
