I didn’t even pay that much for the Trashstros WS  :smh:

Used to get reserve level seats for $40 regularly during the ‘17-‘19 seasons. And those were our best teams  >D

Pulled the trigger 🤷🏽‍♂️

Replica preorder for the fellow broke boyz

This is brazy

I'll let #NTEconomists check in on this one, but this makes the deal much cheaper than $700m (in inflation-adjusted $) for the Dodgers, right?

$1m in 2013 is worth 33% more today; $1m today was just $780k 10yrs ago. So, theoretically, if inflation matches the last 10yrs, the $680m they'll owe him at the end of the contract will "only" cost them $546m in 2023 dollars. If they can get 12% annual interest returns, they could actually pay that off by investing $28m/yr into a "Shohei Fund."

So, really, they're getting Shohei for 10yrs, $300m in today's straight cash homey.

Someone in Dodgers sub said it best. We deserve this after getting robbed of a chip in 2017 and a parade in 2020. We going full nuclear now. Yamamoto, Glasnow, Arozarena, Cease, Hader. Get everyone! Defer it all to 2060 :pimp: 😎
