Moved from CT and grew up just south of Baltimore. Have lived here in the city for the last 9 years though. I wouldn't say I have a distinguishable accent. Perhaps DCAllAfrican can verify?

I haven't seen the movie, but his accent is real and that's just how kids from Dundalk talk. He's just some random kid that they plucked out of Dundalk High School. Not a trained actor. Wouldn't expect him to be good
