Denver is actually a good case study for 'positionless' basketball. Their best pg is a 7 footer that doesn't play defense. Because they don't actually have a center, their ceiling is severely limited as long as jokic is in

Eh, everyone's ceiling is limited in this GSW/HOU era which will be over sooner than later

So long as they continue to properly build a team that helps his deficiencies their ceiling is pretty solid over the next 5 years

Despite gsw/hou, a roster built like that can't compete for a championship imo. It's not built to go deep in the playoffs

I thought you were talking about Jokic until you said that

Edited lol

Says the man who’s teams “best PG” is a 6’9 Forward who doesn’t play defense....and has Javale McGee as the only C in their rotation.

Bron got 3 rings . How many jokic got :nerd:. If your best pg is jokic and your best center is a guy that can't play with jokic, you can't win. The roster is too unbalanced

How did rings get into this..

Because missing the playoffs proves you can win with a backwards roster? The least important things for a center to do is rack up assists and shoot threes. So if those are your center's strengths and he's deficient at the things you actually need a center to do, you're going to lose because of that

Jokic was in his third year and is 23 years old with Milsap basically missing the season. They were ahead of the curve if anything, when it comes to almost making the playoffs

The grease was already simmering and I'm sure the Lakers getting blown out tonight didn't help the takes cool down

Our idea of what can win will change over the next 5-10 years when the new gen comes in and Jokic, KAT, etc are in their primes. Again though, depends on how they continue to build around him. Usually you need at least two All-NBAers on your team to seriously compete for a title
