I said it would be. We didn’t end up drafting Trae nor trading for Kawhi before Bron made a decision so that quote is irrelevant.

There’s a lot of players LeBron would love to play with more than what the Lakers have to offer. But they don’t live in the city he owns a $23 million dollar mansion in.
thumbs down 2.gif

Kawhi not gonna sit, but he is probably gonna half *** it and just be a general pest behind the scenes.
Man might legit never say a word his entire time up north, just look at people and walk away.

Sitting out b2b seasons in the middle of his prime for what? To get rusty

Makes absolutely zero logical sense and the Raps wouldn't have traded away their franchise guy if there were any inkling of dude planning to sit out

Dudes are brazenly just making **** up

Agreed. If anything he needs to play, even at 80% but he needs to play else he'll be with GSW for a minimum contract for the '19-20 season (which ain't necessarily a bad thing).

Dunno how I feel about this trade tbh.

Still cheesed we have that BA lowry though

Shams is the biggest free agent in the NBA right now:
Yahoo Sports had the top two NBA news-breakers in the business, but soon it will have neither. Shams Charania will not return to the sports site, following his mentor and friendly rival, Adrian Wojnarowski, out the door. Charania is now an unrestricted free agent.

Like in most negotiations that end in disagreement, the two sides couldn’t agree on the financials.

“We made the decision to walk away from negotiations,” Yahoo Sports GM Geoff Reiss said as part of a statement to The Post, which praised Charania’s impact over his three years at the website.

Charania’s agent, Maury Gostfrand, declined to comment.

Charania, just 24, will be deciding on a new home soon. Just a year out of college, Charania has made a name for himself by challenging Wojnarowski, now at ESPN, on the NBA transaction beat. Charania will be bringing his more than 360,000 Twitter followers to a new destination soon.

He has had talks with ESPN, though the network has a large stable of NBA insiders, including Ramona Shelburne, Chris Haynes and Dave McMenamin, among others, so a fit seems unlikely. NBC Sports Regional Networks and The Athletic are two known places with interest. Yahoo, according to one source, is looking to replace Charania, so, memo to NBA insiders: Send your résumés.

Either way, Derozen did he thing in Toronto. PG did his thing in Indiana and OKC. Kawhi will just make it known he doesn't wanna be in Toronto. Even if he's forced to play he'll act like a baby.

It is kinda funny that Toronto threw DeRozan out like a sticky paper towel and now they're gonna turn around and try to convince Kawhi that it should be his new home. Same thing with the clippers and Blake. Lol

NBA Free Agents 2018: Jahlil Okafor, Nick Young Rumors and Predictions

Jahlil Okafor (the disrespect!!!) has reportedly been looked at by four NBA teams. Frank Franklin II/Associated Press

There were reports that Jahlil Okafor would not have a chance to play in the NBA next season. However, those reports are somewhat premature.

Okafor worked out for the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers and two other teams, according to Sean Deveney of The Sporting News last week.

Okafor struggled quite a bit while playing for the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets in 2017-18 as he averaged 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. The Nets have told Okafor that he won't be back with them, leading to reports that he would have to play in Europe.

However, Okafor averaged 17.5 ppg as a rookie in 2015-16, and the Bulls, Pacers and two other teams apparently have interest in him.

One of the keys for Okafor is to regain some kind of conditioning, because there were a number of reports that he was not in top shape while playing for the Nets last season.

The New York Post reported that Okafor has been working out in Miamiwith trainers David Alexander and Idan Ravin, who have previously worked with LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant.

Noah Bressner's story added that Okafor has already lost 17 pounds since his workouts started.

Young garners interest

Nick Young has been a role player throughout the majority of his career, but he is attracting quite a bit of interest as a free agent.

According to Mark Berman, the sports director at Houston television station Fox 26, six teams have shown interest in Swaggy P, and the Houston Rockets are one of those teams.

Young averaged 7.3 points per game while playing 17.2 minutes per game for the NBA champion Golden State Warriors last year. He connected on 41.2 percent of his shots, and it appears the Warriors are ready to compete in 2018-19 without him.

The Rockets and other teams are likely considering what he did in 2016-17, when the averaged 13.2 points per game for the Lakers and was playing 25.9 points per game.

Predictions

The Bulls are a young team and expectations are low as they play the 2018-19 season. If they sign Okafor, it can only help. If he can turn his game around by getting in top shape, the Bulls will have a key player for the future. If he plays the way he did in 2017-18, they get rid of him quickly and move on without getting hurt. The Bulls will take a flyer on Okafor for a one-year deal.

Look for the Rockets to give Young a deal and have him come off their bench next season.
