I’m good with Paxton and offer up as many prospects as it takes to not include Sheffield or Florial because it looks like Cleveland may stick with asking too much for Carrasco or Kluber.

But only for Kluber if we include Andujar, Machado better be a Yankee, and I take Sheffield & Florial off the table. They can have 5 other guys in the minors but not either of those 2

By the way, this should probably be the last year of Hicks... Free agent after this year and will be 30.

i dont know too much about the farm or the prospects... is florial any good? i just wouldnt trade andujar

Look. If you were to sign Machado, you're either moving Andujar to 1B or you're trading him. It would be a good problem to have, but it becomes a crowded infield when Didi returns.

i havent seen much of florial but is he clearly better than sheffield ?

Florial is a CF. 20 years old. Stud potential.

Sheffield is a 2 starter, only reason why I don’t believe he’ll ever be a #1 is he doesn’t have light them up stuff. Florial has 20 Homerun / 30 SB potential, decent in the field.

We have the chance to do something unheard of, we need to just go all in and sign Machado and Harper and give up the Farm for 2 starting pitchers. We would have at least 4 years to restock our farm system through draft and international players and we’d literally have an all star team and literally every position player under 30.

ur talking about have 3 $300 million dollar contracts even if stanton can opt out in 2020 you think they gonna be able to afford overheard on stadium with all those annual salaries plus the ones of a kluber with tanaka already over 20 mill too
its great that there is no salary cap in baseball besides the luxury tax but how much can a team spend n still be profitable

The Yanks brought in 619 mil last year and if they added Machado and Harper that figure would go up drastically and then after next year CC is off the books, Gardner too followed by Ellsbury

Adding both Harper and Machado would be OD. Even just having one of them is overboard. We need starting pitching and Stanton already is our biggest contract which is 300 million. I rather pick up someone that can put up Decent numbers and get paid less like how the Sox got jd Martinez last year. You can get a solid player and not break the bank is my point.

EXACTLY

Don’t really have to be mutually exclusive.

Could go Harper or Machado. And still add 2 arms in the rotation and 2 guys in the bullpen

what makes you guys want machado or harper so badly? just to say we picked one of them up during free agency? big contracts usually never work... we got lucky we got a chip from arod and who knows if we get one from stanton... the ellsbury deal was terrible too but i guess not too bad since its not 200-300 million contract... if you look around the league big contracts dont equate to championships... cano, vato, cabrera, prince, clayton and pujols are good examples... the red sox got lucky with david price cuz he was terrible his entire post season career except this year....

Cashman :pimp::pimp:

Don't love giving Sheffield but if it helps bring us a championship, it's worth it.
