Ugh that’s annoying. Chased the money, can’t hate on that I guess. Wonder if they offered 6/$130M would he have taken it?

Nats have a great 1-2-3, let’s see if they push all in and offer Bryce $400M+, with their deferrals he will get paid out for the next 30 years.

So we now know the Yankees are trying to be frugal, so that rules out going wild for both Harper and Machado, but it’s gotta be one of them (and fortify bullpen), right?

would of been nice to sign him but not even mad about it...he would have been a good addition to the rotation… but his mlb record is not that impressive and actually is not that much better than Paxton…the yanks should try to sign eovaldi now and im sure he would be cheaper than corbin…

Yankees need to sign Nathan Eovaldi just to make the Red Sox weaker and trade anyone but Judge for Jacob deGrom. Our current pitchers aren’t going to go far in the postseason and win it all.

Sign Happ to a 2-3 year deal.
Trade for Bauer or Carrasco.

Washington always had bunch of #1,2 starters - Gio, Scherzer, Zimmerman, Strasburg and never got it done ala Atlanta Braves; the year they didn’t let Strasburg pitch in the Playoffs was their best year to go to the WS

Cashman has always a plan A-2, we’ll see what he pulls out; another trade that includes Gray/Frazier

They should sign and both and eat it this year, then move Stanton next winter, just want to see what that lineup looks like haha.

And I find it really hard to believe the Angels can let Trout go under any circumstance. He’s shaping up to be one of the greatest to ever play the game. Unless he’s hellbent on playing in his hometown (and even with Machado and Harper, how could Philly say no to Trout?), he will stay there theoughout his prime.

Completely agree about that postseason error not using Strasburg. That looked like their year and they played it too safe. They must’ve assumed they would get back there every year.

I don’t have the utmost confidence in Cash (and Hal). Would rather Hank run the show for the lolz, he looks more like a chip off the old block. Hal looks like he has a stick up his...

This was shaping up to be a great offseason, but let’s see what they come up with after losing out on Corbin. Now that Philly whiffed, they will be even more aggressive at the premier hitters.

We’re looking at Eovaldi and Happ in Free Agency.

Don’t think I go over $12mil a year for Eovaldi. I just can’t do it.

Sure he has potential. But he’s only had 1 good season and a bunch of mediocre back end starter seasons. Also has Injury concerns.

Eovaldi is what he is, a 4.00ERA pitcher who pretty much pitched on adrenaline in a Red Sox uniform; I highly doubt he is another Daniel Murphy

the yanks prally didnt want to give corbin more than 5 years since that ellsbury deal turned out bad... they coulda upped their offer of 5 years for 115 though... oh well i guess its done... i just dont want them to be cheap and not spend during free agency when they actually have the flexibility to do so

So this is what I don’t understand, The Sox have a crazy high payroll and are still spending. But we’re the most profitable team in Baseball and would be even more profitable with certain players on the team but we seem to be penny pinching.

I’m legit confused, Red Sox won the World Series and are still spending to distance themselves from the rest of Baseball. Manny and Bryce merchandise, plus the amount of fair weather fans that will be tuning in, and gate sales alone would probably pay for a good Chunk of their salaries and a Championship would bring a ton more dividends to the team. Teams worth would go up too.
