OFFICIAL 2019 COLLEGE FOOTBALL OFFSEASON THREAD

We never stopped recruiting RB's even when Emery committed and Cain just said that in the dawgnation article. That's why he's still visiting. You quit recruiting Kirby gon get rid of yo *** (Rocker).

Def needed a big back, Zeus is the guy, but they'll have him in bubble wrap next year. McIntosh was a bit surprising to me but i trust Dell. Will take 2 in '20

Whole family locked in if anyone's wondering.

Next year we're losing Holyfield, Herrien and (most likely) Swift. In 2020 it'll be Zeus, Cook and McIntosh's team. Hopefully we can pick up Cain too.

We’re bringing in one more back might be that Williams cat

Idk that Matt Campbell is the best guy available. Can he handle coaching in this environment? Will he want to? He seems pretty low key. I don’t think you guys appreciate how ridiculous USC is. They have open practices. The HC does a media scrum 5 times a week, even after a non practice film day. Until this year they were the 2nd biggest pro sport team in Los Angeles. It’s not a regular college job. They’re losing this year and it’s still more high profile than most NFL jobs.

Campbell also has a $16M buyout. Idk that they’ll be willing to pay a buyout for him when they can pipe dream about Urban.

Imo Campbell will stay in the midwest/Big Ten area. That figure for his buyout is wrong though. I think it's $7 million right now.

That will be a hard pass on Fisch for me, dawg. 1-1 record as an ‘interim’ HC including a bowl loss to KSU. I saw someone posted that his title for the Rams is ‘clock management specialist.’

I still believe it is going to be Les for KU.

Dakich is usually wrong, but this one is pretty obvious.

Seems obvious and Purdue fans have been treating it as obvious, but Brohm is getting so much attention from other schools it makes me wonder if it's too soon for him to jump. I also wonder, is Louisville's ceiling that much higher than Purdues, especially if Urban's bout to roll out and he's already getting attention from top recruits?

If Urban leaves this off season, I think the job goes to Ryan Day

What I meant is that the B1G will be easier once Urban leaves and even then he's shown he can win and recruit there. In the ACC he will still have to face Clemson and the Floridas. Plus Louisville is a bit of an unknown commodity. That Lamar Jackson season was honestly their ceiling imo.

That's not to ay 10-2/9-3 isn't Purdue's ceiling as well, but then what's the point of going to UL other than "coming home".

Purdue seems like a better job than Louisville to me.

Nah, even with all the ******** going on right now at Louisville, Purdue is notoriously cheap and in the middle of nowhere.

You guys are confusing what he is as a coach to what Purdue is in 2018.

From what I know Purdue was/is ready to invest as much as Brohm would need in order to keep him.

But its all for naught, Brohm wants to go back home it seems.

When comparing the two programs like Louisville and Purdue, baselines matter just as much if not more than ceilings IMO. Even as trash as Louisville is right now, the bottom for Purdue is much worse. The is no reason to bring up Urban and OSU when realistically Purdue is probably the 5th best job in their own division, and among the bottom four in the conference overall.

In regards to his contract Les Miles agreed to a settlement with LSU thus allowing him to pursue other coaching opportunities. A lot, and I mean a lot of traction around that KU will be announcing tomorrow that Les Miles will be the new HC and that Jedd Fisch will the OC / HC in waiting.
