People are going on about his weaknesses daily. Saying he isn't athletic enough, not in great shape, and people even suggesting he struggles against length. Nobody claiming he's a flawless prospect, don't know why dudes are just making up arguments.

I don't think they meant this type of weakness. I think they mean the type of weaknesses teams can game plan against. Can you expose him on the pick and roll? does he only drive one way? Does he have trouble keeping up with quicker guards? Etc...everyone has it and it will show in time.

I think Luka is just an advanced rookie who will fulfill his potential faster than other young guys but I still think his ceiling is still low because of his lack of physical ability.

We'd probably be talking different if he was 6'10 lol

Yeah, playing pro since a early age he knows to how to get to his spots and play to his strengths. Definitely surprised me so far but he's still slow and unathletic. He's a good player but people love to build up these foreign players. :lol

If he was a laker, They’d call him the white harden kinda like they said they have the next Kidd and Giannis.

If he were a Laker everyone would be acting like he's a finished product already & make no room for possible improvement on anything

Instead he's A Maverick so he's being called the Best Rookie Since Lebron ... And apparently has proved himself as a tough shot maker, Elite Playmaker & good defender

Your comrade tyisLA out here fake arguing about Luka doe

He’s the goods. Offensively he’s polished as ****. Don’t think I’ve seen a prospect that polished on offense since Bron/Durant

But yeah if you want to go further, is he athletic enough to not have to hide defensively? Which position is he supposed to guard? It seems he has trouble with lengthy, athletic wings. Will he be able to get his shot off against them in the playoffs?

bottom line, bruh is a franchise player. Of course he’s not perfect but he’s better than 99% of prospects.

Luka has been better on defense than I anticipated. Of course he might struggle against shifty PGs, but he's not a major liability out there at all so far.

If he was a Laker rookie going 2 for 13 this thread wouldn't be all "well it's only one game, he's proven...".

Okay serious question, Not even about Luka but who's the last "Franchise" Guy who wasn't atleast a Good athlete/or a 7 footer (by Top Tier NBA standards) & also wasn't an elite shooter? I think this would be an interesting list

I think Luka will eventually become an elite shooter but yeah it’s hard to be considered a superstar / franchise level player if you aren’t an elite athlete or shooter.

Seriously i get Rookies have bad games that's cool... But dudes nah this wasn't a case of him just being "Off" Dude was getting no separation on his defender & hilariously enough leaned heavy on the two things Zo & Ingram get killed for constantly. Some post up midrange contested fadeaways & when he couldn't dribble past his man he just took a step back contested shot.

He's a rookie, **** happens... but call a spade a spade he played a bad game last night & took some bad shots along with bad turnovers.
