A forfeited pick is just a forfeited pick. Nothing replaces it...unless they've changed the rules since penalizing Minnesota in 2000 and 2001. If you go back and look at those drafts...there's 29 players chosen in the first round for both.

It would be wild if this occurs with a lottery pick tho

Mccaw as a restricted free agent signed with Cavs instead of GS, and then cavs released Mccaw really quick. Mccaw became an unrestricted free agent after the release. GS is asking the nba to investigate the signing and are saying that the cavs had no real genuine interest in Mccaw...that they just didn't want GS to have him
