So since you answered your own question i guess theres no need to answer ..but i will say that if someone thinks im white because i think things through, have the optimism to see both sides of an argument AND have some sort of thread etiquette..then that person has some issues and ill take it lol.

What is needed here is more #civility and #etiquette.

People only think you are white because you are very well-spoken, thoughtful, and use proper punctuation and grammar. I am sorry for all the racism you have had to endure in your life for these reasons and I hope that your detractors at least have the courage to agree to disagree rather than jump to speculation, innuendo, and hyperbole. I can’t speak for him. But from my point of view, that was just one small piece of that situation. He made a point that was not gonna end well regardless, based on the nature of many NTers who will jump at a race debate any chance they get.

Dude reminds me of a conversation I heard on the train a few weeks ago. Two white dudes talking about a woman calling a cop on a black guy at a dog park. Apparently the dudes dog kept wanting to **** the woman’s dog. She asked him to keep his dog away, which he did multiple times but as dogs do, they want to ****. Woman asked him to leave, he refused and she called the police and police asked him to leave.

One of the dudes on the train said the black guy was being “belligerent”, and his friend rebutted saying dude “that’s how black people talk, it’s not belligerence they just have a different tone, and you can’t speak for them as you have no understanding on black culture.”

His friend responded with “well they should understand white culture”.

My ears started bleeding after that. That, ladies and gentlemen is race relations in 2019. Oh of course this was in Boston (disclaimer: I love Boston)
