That culture in Houston seems bad at best :smh: owner out here for no good reason holding multiple interviews using divisive language between management and the players/coaches. He seems eager to rock the boat

These owners are something else

I'm guessing there is some sort of incentive (i.e. the rockets pay less) if D'antoni resigns amid not being offered the extension he wants or something.

That press conference was sloppy as hell and it was intentional.

No coach wants to work with 1 year remaining on his deal while the super stars on the roster are guaranteed in excess of 100M each or whatever the absurd number is.

Lol at the excuses for the Rockets, no way they should have lost that series after KD went down.

They'd rather pay CP0 40 mil a year than Kemba?

I mean they lost 1 game against the dubs without KD. I picked rockets regardless but the warriors were the favorites. I don’t see it as an excuse but more so what it is ‍♂️♂️

You wouldn’t put bread on Houston to defeat a healthy GSW and you wouldn’t put bread on Houston to beat a healthy GSW with ANY coach in the league so I don’t get why the rockets should have won that series

Why the hell would Charlotte have interest in Chris Paul lol other than him being from that area. Am I missing something :lol

That's pretty much it and the Jordan angle. It's more so if Kemba leaves they can still have a name

Would Houston want Batum, Bymobo, Williams etc. idk

From the Houston Chronicle:

Asked about why he and Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni have been such a successful partnership, Harden said, “Because he lets me do what I want.”

That would never fly with Pop, or Spo and a number of other coaches.

Coaches that would have also made the adjustments needed to win that GSW series...

I've also never heard someone be so confident about what OTHER people would be willing to bet on, as if what he is saying is gospel.

FOH.

Can Houston pull off the S&T? Charlotte would likely send bad contracts with Kemba to get below the tax.

GS wasn't healthy though lol

KD/Klay/Steph we’re healthy for essentially the entire series. They played 5 quarters vs them without KD. They were 2-2 WITH kd. Saying they “should have” won that series seems wild considering folks were betting that they would lose, no?

Luc been hurt all year and Ariza ready to hang it up ...they wasn’t helping anybody win **** this year :lol ...Rockets was probly smart to move on from em if u think bout it, problem is they ain’t have a solid plan on replacements

Harden is gonna leave the league the same way as Melo if he don't change that frame of thought.

Bruh they were the biggest underdogs since this dynasty got going in Game 6. ALL we heard about last year was only if CP0 was healthy, Houston would have won, so they get a healthy CP0, KD gets injured in a tie game, blow that game. Steph maybe has the worst half of his career in the 1st half of game 6 yet they couldn't pull away then either and they blow that game at home. It was an even series WITH KD, yet somehow they shouldn't have been favored to win the moment he got injured. C'mon man.

My question is what adjustments was there to make?

No team thus far out west has been able to go head to head with the Warriors on starting lineups.
There’s no way to beat them in 7 games starting 5 versus starting 5. Cavs did it with a Draymond suspension and a rare Steph and Klay fart sound in game 7. And even then with the exception of Harden versus Bron. Those 2 starting lineups are not even in the same universe of each other.

This year in the playoffs
The starting 5 was - CP3, Eric Gordon, Harden, PJ & Capela

Their bench was Austin Rivers, Gerald Green, Danuel House and Iman Shumpert.

No coaching adjustment was winning that series.

Wasn't the rockets defense better this year than last year? After they got rid of melo, was it the best in the NBA? Was that because of harden or all the guys you are downplaying to make it seem like the warriors are unbeatable? Austin, house and faried>>>ariza and luc. MDA is gonna run a 7 man rotation regardless so does it even matter what kinda depth you have? That's been his MO from jump. And a bunch of people try to act like Gerald green lost that game in 30 seconds so why did MDA even put him in? Same thing with Ryan Anderson the year before. Whenever Kerr does something like that he gets killed for it but MDA gets a pass for some reason.

McHale took the rockets from 34 to 45 to 54 to 56 wins and the conference finals and they got that far because he benched harden in a crucial game. But you're making it seem like harden is the only reason for anything. And nobody would hesitate to call mchale a bad coach. MDA had 55 65 and 53 wins and one conference finals. So how much better is he really?

Same thing with capela. Nobody would hesitate to say how poor he was. But when harden shrinks every year, there's always some reason besides that why the rockets couldn't get it done.

And you said there's no way to beat the warriors starting 5. Shoe said you wouldn't bet against a healthy gsw. Yall keep tryna act like KD wasn't even injured :lol

Excuses :smh:
