It was from Arnnovitz but still the analogy doesn't make sense. Kawhi has literally achieved on the highest levels, the Clippers have NEVER done that.

of course it was that Clowncake Arnovitz to say something like that.... Yes Kawhi ignore the team that has propelled stars to championships for 4 straight decades now & sign with the squad who's "Successful" period was capped by a conference finals appearance :lol::lol:

Probably can’t afford both

Or at least fill out a competitive roster

 With what money? Those gonna be your two signings this offseason aside from minimums?

Darren Collison's going to get more money than any of the exceptions, too.

According to Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro, who said it on the air on Wednesday, Darren Collison doesn’t sound too interested in joining a situation like the Suns. After playing for the Indiana Pacers the past two seasons, experiencing playoff berths in the process, Collison wants to remain in contention wherever he lands.

Gambadoro also relayed in his Collison report that he’s willing to take a pay cut to join a contender as well. There’s a strong possibility Collison would leave double the money on the table if it’s deciding between a contender and rebuilding situation.

Maybe it’s just me, but that sounds an awful lot like someone who’s willing to take the mid-level exception to join LeBron James and Anthony Davis in Los Angeles. After trading Lonzo Ball and letting Rajon Rondo walk, the Lakersneed a starting point guard.

You can't see the obvious parallel? I'm not comparing the magnitude of both in the sense of what each means to the entire NBA. but one player got killed because he joined a team that he had just lost to in a playoff series. The other player would be returning to a team that discarded him in a salary dump...and had it's figurehead GM publicly trash him after drafting his replacement who isn't HALF as talented.

Wouldn't that be "weak" to return to that franchise after your glow up that came somewhere else...just like it was "weak" for KD to play "if you can't beat em, join em"? If we're judging both scenarios on the "pride" scale...both actions are weak in the barbershop right? Please tell me im wrong.

But as a Laker fan...you understand that it's a good basketball fit first over everything else. Amazing how people prioritize logic over narrative when it's a benefit to a team they're a fan of...as opposed to some other team

If Magic was still here yea it'd look funny in the light, but he's not. And really was the only one that trashed him on the way out besides some of the fanbase. He didn't want to leave LA by all indications.

Knicks should sign Randle, he's young enough to go with the timeline of the rest of their young guys and tank again for LaMelo. I don't know if hoarding cap space is the right move especially if Brooklyn is going to pull off what most expect them to do now.
Tanking for Lamelo would be nuts.

And standing in the corner as Bron dribbles the clock down

Thank YOU for acknowledging what I'm saying because you know I'm telling the truth...instead of jumping in the "what they have to do with each other" escape route like TyisLA.

You were one of the MAIN people ****ting on him on here...so you know it look funny in the light if we're judging it by "narratives".

But you also understand the obvious fit for the both the team and the player...JUST like KD/Warrios in 2016.

If we max D'lo we'd still have 6 M to spend plus an exception and vet minimums. And D'lo probably isn't getting his full max

I think that's where the misinformation has come through we can clear the 32 mil and AD doesn't have to decide whether he wants to waive his trade kicker or not right when the trade is made official July 6th.

This would be like the KD situation if OKC renounced KD and GSW didn't make the playoffs. And if KD got a raise instead of a pay cut. And if the Lakers won 73 games last year

You're a master barber. You know GOT damn well that wouldn't make a difference when judging. Half of your fanbase on here doesn't even understand the cap...let alone use it as a factor when comparing judging something like this.

If this were ANY other team/scenario...you would be calling him for going to the team that gave up on him

Now ya'll using Magic as the scapegoat to shoot D-Lo some bail

Ya'll really are PATHETIC

Fair but Magic had to get the blessing from someone

You're reaching :lol. The situations are nothing alike

Still opted to draft another PF instead :smh: ...they bout to try to do something ridiculously stupid in free agency or a trade to make up for Fultz not being reliable

I’m dead serious when I say I don’t think he’ll play one single minute for the Magic.

I wanna see how much longer they’re gonna keep buying into his BS like we did.

If he's going to take less, that'd be a hell of a get.

DLo is going to get full max offers. I can't imagine he's going to leave money on the table this early. Too many teams with cap space and he's a 23 year old all-star lead guard. He's going to get paid.

The Lakers cap situation is such a cluster **** to try and figure out exactly what they have

How?

Kemba
Smart
Tatum
Brown
Capela

Would still be really good and could happen.

Im assuming in that scenario youre trading Hayward for Capela? Why would they do that

Dont want to commit 70 m on Hayward and Kemba and the ceilling would be Joe Johnson Hawks esque teams.

Plus we literally have no bigs currently.
