If he's going to take less, that'd be a hell of a get.
DLo is going to get full max offers. I can't imagine he's going to leave money on the table this early.

The Lakers cap situation is such a cluster **** to try and figure out exactly what they have

Nobody else can max him and Boston and Indy are apparently not pursuing him but we'll see how much he gets

If anything it's worse... The Lakers cast him aside

MAGIC cast him aside... the Lakers fanbase was pretty split about trading him or not... with that said People's problem with KD's move (outside of the obvious disdain for the Warriors) was coming from a competitive standpoint. People tried to spin it as if KD wasn't a real competitor & took the if you can't beat them join em concept & betrayed his former teammates.

D'Lo getting traded was majorly on the shoulders of magic, and a few players who are no longer with the team. Not to mention that D'lo never wanted to leave here in the first place .. so d'lo possibly returning to a team that traded him is somehow equal to battling a team for a championship, leaving your old team & joining your direct rivals.... someone please make sense of this for me.

Im assuming in that scenario youre trading Hayward for Capela? Why would they do that

Dont want to commit 70 m on Hayward and Kemba and the ceilling would be Joe Johnson Hawks esque teams.

Plus we literally have no bigs currently.

Honestly I hope you guys don’t do it cause Kemba is another guy like Kyrie and Rozier that always kills us :lol

Fair but Magic had to get the blessing from someone

Lol with what just happened with his exit you think Magic gives a flying **** what a blessing is. He does what the hell he wants regardless of how it looks.

Lakers can max D'Lo out at 27 mil and still have 5-6 mil left over in cap and their room exception. They'll expand the trade with ATL since they have the #4 pick now.

You're reaching . The situations are nothing alike

I pointed out the obvious parallel in the idea of both being weak. You can't put together an actual counter to that outside of repeating that they "aren't alike" because you can't

My argument isn't that they are exactly alike you ******* idiots  I'm saying they're both "weak" in the barber shop...are they not?

D Lo just trying give the Lakers some revenge blue balls

Absolutely pathetic to see alot of ****** who ****ted on him on here...suddenly want to welcome him back with open arms after he went and became a star somewhere else.

****** really justified shipping him out in a salary dump and replacing him with Lonzo ******* Ball...with the idea of him "losing the locker room" because he "snitched" on Nick ******* Young .

He become's an allstar and they have Lebron and AD now...and suddenly it's "Magic was wylin, we miss you D-Lo" :smh:

If @JD617 pull them receipts...I wonder what gems he'd find

I don’t get how Dlo and Kd are comparable at all. Both situations are unique. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a high draft pick get traded and come back to his original team ever, let alone in 2 years. I don’t deny the energy is weird but Magic is gone and he was the main one who had beef with Dlo cuz he got his boy B-Scott fired.

You’re saying that the basketball fit should be all that matters and all that other **** is noise. I mean I guess. Barbershop/basketball fit or not KD still feels slighted about all the negative reaction he got from going to GS. If he didn’t he would’ve re-up’d already. People aren’t gunna go at Dlo’s neck for coming back to the Lakers cause (barbershop or not) he’s not that caliber of player and won’t get held to the same standard as a in-his-prime-KD leaving his OG team to jump to the 73-9 team he was up 3-1 against.

Which team other than the Lakers can even offer Dlo the max? Dallas? I know Minnesota wants him but they’d have to shed 2 contracts for nothing.

D Lo just trying give the Lakers some revenge blue balls

You gotta wonder if he’d like some revenge against them.

I love how Laker fans are like “Magic is gone so he doesn’t have any hard feelings for anybody else in the organization” like it was strictly Magic that traded him. Meanwhile for the past couple years nobody has had any ******* clue who’s in charge of making decisions.

sooooooo basically you could have just said you thought both moves were weak minded instead of comparing two completely different situations . but you do your thing basketball historian

I’m not gon hold you it’s been hella funny seeing people who **** all over him when he was a Laker trynna act like they weren’t celebrating when he was traded.

I was one of the FEW that rocked with Dlo heavy. I was arguing with Laker fans daily that he was gunna be a star lol. I remember people saying he wasn’t a shooter :|

In what universe do you actually believe that Magic acted on his own and didn't get approval from Lakers brass to trade DLO

Ummm what?
Magic was the head hancho & final decision maker. He was PBO lol

You think Jeanie would’ve vetoed the trade? She would only do that for Kuzma

Yes the fanbase **** on him, me being the ring leader, but the NBA is a strange place. It just so happens he's going to be the best guard on the market available and we have a glaring need for one. Yea he was moved in a salary dump but we got 2 max guys (not admittedly in the fashion we were thinking) but if we can bring him back and he has a better squad and literally nobody who was on the team at the time is currently there, why not? Especially if it's the most money available.

Him as a 3rd option with Bron & AD is a no brainer.

So you want Lakers fans who weren't high on D'lo to not want him to come to their MUCH IMPROVED team now.... for the sake of them not wanting to be wrong??:lol:

I've always been in the middle with D'lo always thought he had the potential to be what he was this season a borderline AS and good scorer... i don't see him as much past that. With that said i understand how some in our fanbase would have celebrated the trade then & also want him back now

1) At the time of the trade it was viewed as a way to get us to two max slots (assuming those players were gonna be LBJ & PG). i'm doing that 100/100 times until this very day
2) there's a big difference between wanting D'lo as the guy you build your roster around for the next decade or adding him to be the third option next to Lebron & AD.

You said yourself that the situations aren't even similar so why do I have to make a counter?
