1+1 really does make the most sense. I always thought Toronto will have the championship hangover year that some teams have (Dallas for example). But everyone other than OG, Siakim and I think Van Vleet, everyone will be on a contract year and will be playing for their last big paycheck.

with KD likely being out all of next season, indiana always being a question mark, and boston being shaky, if Kawhi ran it back with toronto they'd have every opportunity to get back into the finals. let the west go thru its annual bloodbath while you sit back and really only have to compete with Bucks and Sixers.
