Am I the only one who thinks AD is overrated? He's a phenomenal talent, but hasnt' achieved anything.

From a team perspective
  • The most he did was make it to the second round once in his career.
  • He made the playoffs only twice
From an individual perspective:
  • Hasn't won any awards
  • Haven't lead the league in anything
  • Haven't show any real leadership capabilities
I just find it weird how everyone has him as top 5 just by filling up stat sheets when he's not injured.

He was lucky to have a small market and bad management as an excuse for everything, but now that he's in the biggest spotlight in basketball, people will look at him and his performance very closely.

What have I done to the basketball gods to deserve this

They'll be great defensively. Let's see how they are on offense since PG got fragile shoulders to begin the season and Kawhi's need for load management.

I am really curious how the Clippers' ball movement will look like. These are the career high season averages in assists their starting back-court has:

PG: 4.2
SG: 4.1
SF: 3.5

And all three have been in the league for at least 7 seasons.

Question. Who y’all think is the biggest nba draft bust in your era. In my opinion is either Greg Oden or Kwame Brown. Honorable mention Anthony Bennet or Andrew Wiggins ( only cause he still in the league for now)

Can’t decide between Kwame and Oden. That’s a tough of debate of trash players.

Oden has an excuse

Kwame had a career and was sometimes productive so he’s not on that level. IMO it is Bennett. Olowakandi is another in the upper tier of busts.

A "Bust" to me is a player with exceedingly high expectations and no delivery.

While Kwame was a #1 pick, but that draft was profoundly TRASH! Solid journeyman career. Along with that, there wasn't a player that Washington could of had instead (ala KD)

Anthony Bennett was just a SUPER REACH by an organization. Not a bust per say imo
He should of gone #8-10

Greg Oden is the biggest "bust" of all time.
To me, he meets all the qualifications. Great career at OSU, good title run had folks DROOLING
He was touted, expectations were through the roof, and you had a player B there that you can point to and say "If only we had listened to warning signs and red flags about his health we could of had an all-time great."

Sam Bowie is in the conversation but at least he had something of a career. Oden was a net negative throughout.

SIDEBAR:

Markelle Fultz, sorry bro, but you on the clock.

Especially if Tatum, Lonzo, Donovan continue on their paths

I got to agree with this. Other than Oladipo and McCollum that Bennett draft was filled with role/bench players. The 2001 draft wasnt as weak as the 2013 draft, but to me, taking Oden over KD is a move that set the blazers back like 7 years. Oden wasnt just a bust because of injuries either. He had a pretty deep battle with alcoholism as well.

Oden was hooping in Portland during the rare times he wasn't injured or in foul trouble. His body betrayed him but the talent was there. When I think of the word bust I think of a complete misjudgment of talent like Olowokandi.

There’s a surprisingly high level of homophobia amongst the regulars on here for 2019, but at the same time a lot people on here have a price point at which they will perform sex acts with other men. And overall the thread has pretty good taste in old school R&B.
How much you licking male doo doo for?

That question sums up about 10 pages
I'm glad I didn't waste time catching up then

Valid, but I don't think it matters too much in the grand scheme of things. Lou Williams was at 7 ast per 36 last year and was really good as a playmaker. Big reason why the Lou / Trez PnR was so great. He was making great reads and passes all year.

The Clips have been a top 10 offense in both years post lob city. Even last year with no Blake Griffin, CP3, in sight they still spit out a top 8 offense, one of the best offenses in the half court, and were the best clutch team in the league last season per net rating.

I think adding PG and Kawhi to that will do wonder. Doc Rivers really is awesome when it comes to offense.
