Yep. That was my larger point (aside from pointing out that the Clips offense has been really good whether you have Jawun Evans, SGA, Pat, Shamet, they've still been a top 10 offense, PG and Kawhi aren't hurting that)

But to your point, that's why I'm cautiously so optimistic with LAC. Big wings who can just get theirs regardless of defense (AND can defend on the other end) are like the +200 Million dollar players in the league. There's only a few (Lebron, Kawhi, PG if he plays how he did most of last season, KD) and for the Clippers to have TWO of them seems like a luxury that can take them deep into the offs.

Yea Doc will definitely figure it out. Clips were GREAT offensively last year. You basically have Kawhi and PG taking gallo and tobias' roles with more ball handling.

I also think the assists/playmaking concerns are real. Its gonna be an adjustment especially if PG isn't ready to start the season and Kawhi only plays around 60 games.

Do you guys end games with bev, lou, pg, Kawhi and trez?

I feel like lou is kinda marginalizes on offense now and a liability defensively so I wouldnt be surprised to see him on the bench to close.

A good wager would be whether the Nets finish a top 4 seed :nerd:

Man, that’s a tough one. Bucks and Sixers both ahead of them for sure. Probably Indiana as well. After that, it’s closer. But I think Boston will have a better regular season record than them too. Yeah, so Nets without KD are a bottom half playoff team in the East.

I’m not betting on it though

Am I the only one who thinks AD is overrated? He's a phenomenal talent, but hasnt' achieved anything.

From a team perspective
  • The most he did was make it to the second round once in his career.
  • He made the playoffs only twice
From an individual perspective:
  • Hasn't won any awards
  • Haven't lead the league in anything
  • Haven't show any real leadership capabilities
I just find it weird how everyone has him as top 5 just by filling up stat sheets when he's not injured.

He was lucky to have a small market and bad management as an excuse for everything, but now that he's in the biggest spotlight in basketball, people will look at him and his performance very closely.
I think he’s overrated if he’s your best player by a mile, just like Kyrie.

Putting him on a team with Bron changes things IMO.

Will be a fun season. We have a lot of names on a lot of teams, only 1 will make it :lol

When AD gets that chip and or MVP he'll take his place as best player in the world.

He's been in the league 7 years and has been a 6x all star and 3x all NBA 1st team player and 3x all defense player. To say he has no accolades is disingenuous. He hasn't had the team success that his talent should warrant, that's fair. But to call him athletic Minny Kevin Love is downright disrespek.

I think 29/12/4/2 on a top 3 team in the loaded west will get him the MVP this season.

Lou will be in the closing line-up. He’s too much of a threat not to be. And the other guys in that unit are so good defensively that they can cover up his defensive limitations. Plus, if when it comes to one or two possession games in the final minutes, Doc does a lot of offense/defense substitutions.

Having him out there - a known big shot taker and maker - just makes PG and Kawhi more dangerous.

If Leonard and George are relatively healthy during the playoffs, playmaking will be the least of their concerns. Especially if Lou is still on the roster

Think it'll be situational. Pat's shooting, rebounding, and defense may put him in closing lineups more so than Lou I think.

Pat / Kawhi / PG / Green / Trez

Pat / Kawhi / PG / Harkless / Trez

Pat / Kawhi / PG / Harkless / Green

There's a lot the Clips can do as far as closing lineups are concerned but the more I think about it the harder it is for Lou to be in there. Obviously if he's hot or is having a really good game we're rolling

I also am almost positive that this isn't close to the final version of the Clippers roster that they'll take into the playoffs.

Never seen a agent possibly getting fired be looked as big news before.

They want this brotha to fail so bad but it's too late.

I don’t know about that. I feel like it usually gets reported when players change agents, at least big name players. And the media certainly has covered when players have left previous representation to join Klutch.

This problem in this instance is that the dude reported wrong information.

That's the thing, I dont think the defense is that great if you're gonna have lou and trez out there, especially in the playoffs where teams will pick on your worst defenders.

Embiid is my summer pick for MVP. Subject to change
That's a good pick, but I wonder how many games he'll play. If an MVP has ever won playing 60 games then it's a real possibility

I'll roll with Dame and Jokic as other contenders. The knocks on them are that Nurkic will be out for a long time and Jokic will play in the World Cup

imo AD is overrated
Can’t stay healthy
Hasn’t won anything yet
Super Talented
But is he really top 5 or is he just a more athletic Kevin Love?
more athletic kevin love

Houston could have really used him

May & June they’re gonna be giving 40 mins to arguably the worst high volume 3 point shooter ever, and another 30 mins to Capela. They should prioritize shooting at this point, I think

Over a series they’d have a difficult time outshooting a team like the Clippers or Golden State, maybe even Utah from deep

Load management keeps Embiid out of MVP contention if the Sixers are smart.

Didn't even think about this. I hope he plays at least 65. BTW I think the success of Load management w/kawhi is going to spread league wide, and we already have seen Silver throw out there the shortening of the schedule. It's going to happen. Can't think the NBA is going to stand idle while the best players play 60/82 every year
