For those that aren't aware of why Slovenia isn't in the World Cup, read below. Also, this means it will be a long shot for Luka to even play next summer int he 2020 Olympics :smh:

USA theoretically could have also missed a chance to play in the World Cup if not for what the non NBAers w/JVG did in some tournament during the NBA season

"This problem could get even worse because the bulk of Olympic spots go to teams who perform well at the World Cup. There are four wild cards spots determined a month before the Olympic tournament tips off. For Slovenia to reach the Olympics, they’d have to get added to the field (yes, they would be a wild-card addition to the wild-card tournament) and then win their bracket. Because the wild card tournament is in the offseason of the NBA and Euroleague, they might actually have a chance at that! But it’s just that: only a chance."

Olympic qualifying is even more stupid now. Used to be only the WC winner got the auto bid (aside from the host country). Now, it's based on how the top teams from each region finish in the WC, based on the number of slots allotted to each region. So, all Team USA has to do is be the second best team from the Americas to qualify for the Olympics. They can half *** it and they will be in the Olympics. The players know this, so nobody is invested in it. (Although, the players who have bailed aren't surprising, regardless of the format)

It was better when the Olympics were separated by two years. That allowed for the regional FIBA tournaments (which Team USA had to do in 2007 because they lost in the semis of the 2006 worlds). FIBA is run by morons.

I could see a player like Harden or Curry pulling off that 3pt lay up ******** in a game.

Honestly surprised no ones been doing that or some drifting shot while on a fast break yet, with the direction the game might be going.

I remember Eddie Jones finger rolling a few steps in front of the 3 pt line.

The best candidate for this was Steve Nash since he used a variety of 1 footed runners off the dribble. So he would be my prime candidate.

Players should do it at the end of game/ qtr plays when they coming down court with a full head of steam and little resistance

I did it once in a rec league game, unplanned, to get off a shot before halftime. I missed and landed awkwardly.
