Boban Marjanovich will also never play in an All Star Game in the NBA or make $170M playing basketball in his current lifetime.

Which one of those scenarios would you rather be in if you had to choose?
Of course I would choose Ben Simmons's situation.

I'm just saying you shouldn't act surprised that Ben's shooting gets so much negative attention. His lack of shooting is very extreme.

Yea I went to a sixers game once and I was surprised to see Ben hitting turnaround 18 foot jump shots in shootaround.

I don't understand why he is the way he is in games.

He doesn't trust his mechanics and is mentally fragile in that aspect of the game. Same thing with Shaq and his free throws in practice vs the games.

Whats frustrating with Ben is that people can clearly see how hes great at everything else but shooting. Hes been in the league for 3 years now and still hasnt shown in game improvement on it.

Can't even say he's bad at shooting like Zo is cause dude won't even attempt them. It's mind boggling.

Ppl call Ben tall Rajon Rondo

Let's take a look at Rondo's numbers over the years. Let's take a look at his first two seasons especially. 11 3 pointers made through his first two seasons.

Let's take a look at Ben's stats

The man is going on his 3rd season and hasn't made a 3 pointer yet.

This has to be the most extreme case of shooting issues for a point guard ever.

Even Markell Fultz has made a 3 pointer already.

The mind blown emoji and 23k+ likes on a video of an actual very good shooter in the NBA doing a drill that I’ve done since middle school.

UGH PEOPLE GET EXCITED ABOUT ANYTHING THESE DAYS
College 3s at that

I immediately dismiss someone's opinion on basketball if they come at me with the Shaq carried Kobe ****
They benefited off of each other and both are two of the best ever. Don't know why it's so hard for people to acknowledge that.
It’s bc the Kobe dweebs make it seem like he scored 81 every game of the series. Gotta restore balance and sense

I swear that type of thinking is the bane of basketball existence. If I could acquire infinity stones...the first thing I'd do is get rid of the following ideas from the sport so that kids growing up don't get poisoned by them:

- The idea of being "the man"
- Whose "team" is it?
- The best player is the one who "carries" their team'

Edit...to add to this: this is exactly what happened to KD/Westbrook in retrospect and I hate it. And if it's true that KD really does care about what "people" say...than maybe the whole "it's really Russ's team...he's the alpha" nonsense that picked up noise as he grew as a player, had an impact on them as teammates.

More than anything, those sorts of opinions are a symptom of someone's age. It's not on us to get mad at younger people who think that way when we probably thought that same way at one point. The older you get, the more nuanced your opinions on sport become just like anything else.

Wondering if Zion going to get a signature shoe? Or just wear P.E.’s? Usually only get a signature shoe if you’re a superstar right out of the gate. Hes pretty close to that

Definitely not year one, most likely not year 2 either. Especially with Jordan Brand. If it were UA or Adidas, they might consider it for year 2.
