CP3 had his first signature shoe in year 3 or 4.

Really? I’m not arguing with you. I just remember having a pair of the 1st CP3 model in Hornets colors and it seems like so long ago. But he has been in the league long time now.

Nah. Died soon after this:

I think the Clippers might be slight favorites but nothing close to the landslide these guys are predicting

I definitely think some recently bias creeped into this. People still caught up in Kawhi’s playoff run this year.

Admitting my bias

But the Clips has one of the best offenses in the league last year, were one of the best teams in the league post AS break, won 48 games last year

And replaced Danilo gallinari and SGA with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. I could see why one would have them as the favorites, heavy favorites is...ehhh

As a fan I don’t have the Clips as ‘heavy’ favorites. They play in not only the toughest conference, but arguably one of if not the toughest division now too. Getting out of that will be HARD.
Agreed. They had a good squad last year. I think they'll only get better this year. IMO, I think they finish the season with a better record than the Lakers again and possibly the W's.

It'll be fun to watch them.

I think they got it right for the most part. Not sure how it wasn't unanimous for the Clippers. I don't see them dropping one game in the playoffs challenging the Lakers run from 2000-2001. Anything short of a championship would be a huge disappointment.

I’m not saying that it will happen, but what IF Zion turns out to be bust status, does JB drop him?

Well its a 4 year deal. After its up they just dont renew it.
Imo he can easily sell more shoes than Giannis, Paul George and Dame for example
Kids been following Zion's highlights the past 4 years. They love him.

Clippers probably have the best depth around their duo but it’s kinda wild that nobody gave any consideration to a Bron/AD team winning it :lol I mean Bron is Bron & while AD hasn’t done much past April, he’s still averaged 30 in every playoff series he’s ever been in. He might not be a #1, but a #2 guy? Him and Bron can take you a loooong way barring health.

I’m not writing them off until they’re actually eliminated

PG was seduced by Russ then stabbed him the the back
PG was strong armed by a mute to go to the JV squad in his 'hometown'.
Not to mention getting a stripper pregnant and trying to have her get an abortion only to wife her up.
Oh yea that stripper was the woman he cheated with on his now head coach's daughter.

He's a goof x100.

So Rich is supposed to be this dirty agent that only cares about one guy and stopped a player from signing to the Clippers and yet a current Clippers player is resigning with him?

I swear that type of thinking is the bane of basketball existence. If I could acquire infinity stones...the first thing I'd do is get rid of the following ideas from the sport so that kids growing up don't get poisoned by them:

- The idea of being "the man"
- Whose "team" is it?
- The best player is the one who "carries" their team'

Edit...to add to this: this is exactly what happened to KD/Westbrook in retrospect and I hate it. And if it's true that KD really does care about what "people" say...than maybe the whole "it's really Russ's team...he's the alpha" nonsense that picked up noise as he grew as a player, had an impact on them as teammates.

I wonder why this is 'poison'? Basketball is the most individualistic team sport there is since it's only 5 players on the floor at any given time. So having one great player has such an outsourced impact on a game and overall success of a team.

I honestly find it funny that it was seemingly ok and celebrated with the whole Shaq-Kobe dynamic years ago. People loved saying Kobe was carried as he was putting up 1st option numbers the last 2 years of that 3 peat especially in the real finals which was the west playoffs. But with KD-Westbrook to a lesser extent but definitely KD-Steph it's seen as divisive. Rings culture is a big part of this but it's not something that's going away. A lot of these all time greats are competing with ghosts who've all achieved ultimate success as "the man". It's a prerequisite to getting a seat at that table like it or not.

Crazy thought, but what if OKC keeps their players and trade assets for Beal?

CP3/ Dennis
SGA/
Beal/ Robertson (if healthy)
Gallo/
Adams/ Noel

That's pretty solid.
They'd have to put Dennis and Roberson in the deal to match salaries. They wouldn't be winning ****, but they'd be good.

Oh yeah, I'm quite sure, it was around 07 or 08 when i first immigrated to Canada. CP3 was my favorite player during his hornets days so I've been keeping an eye out on his sig shoes. I was very disappointed lol

I get it. I understand that game is naturally engineered in a way that a single player can have such a seismic shift on the floor and that is a thing to marvel at, but it's literally in direct conflict of what the idea of a "team" is supposed to embody. I've never played that game.

It's a testament MJ/Pip made it...although we've learned in retrospect that Pippen DID think about "doing his own thing".

QFT!!!!!!

Folks gonna learn about TB. If Brooks stops screwing around, he should be averaging something in the neighborhood of 18/8.

He has really improved man. Really wanted him for the Cs this summer, but they didn't have the full MLE to offer him.
