Hopefully the Lakers hiring all these vet assistants along with Vogel will help them really emphasize rest for Lebron this season... IMO homecourt is less important than ever this season. Chances are the Warriors aren't gonna finish that high in the standings so it shouldn't be difficult to duck them at home court in a later round.

The Jazz/Nuggets also have good home court advantages but against both those teams we have a vast experience gap.

The Clippers would be someone who if they were in another place i could see homecourt being an issue.... butttt those will essentially be four home games come playoff time.
Rest Bron as much as possible & try to secure a top four seed should be the plan.

Ideally for the top of the West you just want to avoid the 4/5 seed. The way they West looks on paper, you're looking at 5 pretty elite rosters in the West that you're not gonna enjoy playing in come summer.

If you can avoid having to play 3 of them to win the West, that's gotta be the goal for the regular season.

They’re trying to make this into an NCAA type scandal. **** all that

I honestly think it’s all going to blow over without much happening. I think some time will pass and Silver will send out a statement saying that league did a thorough investigation and found no clear evidence of CBA violations, but will continue to monitor closely.

TBH, player movement and super teams have had such a net benefit on the NBA in terms of making it a year-round league, that I doubt they really want to change things too much.

thought PG was going to go with the cornrows as well for the presser

no moe harkless or the rookies?

I forgot about the CP3 line

I wonder how much money Nike makes off of Jordan Brand. There's a "stigma" surrounding JB, and everything else it does is dwarfed by the actual Jordan sig retros. This wasn't always the case. When it first hit the scene...JB was cool. *****s wanted the Team Jordans, the Eddie Jones/Vin Baker sigs, etc. Somewhere along the line there was a disconnect and just pure laziness by Nike from a creative standpoint. I think Zion may be a step in the right direction, and at $75 million...you bet your *** they have their top people on it. Expect something on a higher level than anything we've seen them do with their other athletes.

Nike owns JB - they make a ton of money off the brand. The era you're talking about runs from JB's formation in '95 (or '96) up until about '07. During that period, there was a distinction between Nike and JB offerings with the latter being more premium. Low quality CDP retros plus Nike's insistence on running the same plastic/mesh materials led to the downfall. Presently both Nike and JB churn out uninspired trash.
