The organization don't stick the contract all that **** goes out the window.

Please pull up a quote where I called a player all that for simple changing teams. Only player I criticized is KD and that's for going to the team that he just blew a 3-1 lead to.
Oh this that South Bay, it would be a shame if someone....tampered with this billboard.

It was literally the same exact convo for Kawhi except Kawhi completely refused to get on the court. The Team's medical staff cleared him, he refused to play & then him & his reps lobby'd for what team he would want to be traded too. Only difference is that the Spurs Refused to send him where he wanted to go.

Paul george literally signed a deal last season, had another player reach out to him while under contract, that player asked him to demand a trade to a specific team.... Just so said player could then sign to that team.

How is it that AD sets a bad precedent but everyone else is cool.

And I bet MONEY that wasn’t the first time the Spurs forced Kawhi back early. It probably happened before, and he got injured again. And lost trust. I’m sure that was the case.

Them wanting to force him back time and time again, and getting re-injured probably grew tiresome. That’s probably why he sought a second opinion

Y’all are for player empowerment as long as that player joins your team. If not, they are a snake, coward, loser etc.

nah.. i'm all for it, as long as 3-4 of the top 15 players in the league where 1 guy can have so much impact dont end up on the same team

i mean even with the heat, they had to gut the roster to get those 3 guys there.. and they took slightly less so they could keep haslem

basically i'm cool with anything as long as you dont end up with a warriors with KD type situation, where it literally took all those injuries for them to come back down to earth

Then, you break the bank and pull out the red carpet for LAMARCUS ALRIDGE, but then say you don’t know if Kawhi is worth the max? He’s not a “leader” but LAMARCUS ALRIDGE is??? :lol :rollin

I see Kawhi was done with them

Dudes are stuck and have no real argument.

If they side with the owners they know it makes them look a certain way so they have to "well AD is different..." like that was some groundbreaking never before seen situation.

Just say y'all don't like him going to the Lakers. If he forced his way to Denver or the Clippers or whatever new team y'all bandwagon for it wouldn't be any issue. Matter fact if a Lakers all-star forced his off the Lakers y'all dudes would throw a party. Wouldn't be no tears cried and "Ah man this sets a bad precedent".

I don’t feel sorry for anybody that signs a contract, especially dudes making multi millions. Contracts are contracts. Teams should call their bluff and not trade said player. What’s PG gonna do? Not play well?

Want contracts to be not trade able? Fine. Let’s also make contracts not guaranteed. Welcome to the real world. We’ll pay you a severance if that time comes.

This, has been the reaction that’s been to Kerr’s comment:

This (Drew Shiller’s tweer), more or less...is what I think the point Kerr was trying to get across.

Not that I agree with him fully...but I understand the convo he was having. Most people see his comment...and run with the former.

It is what it is.

meet you on 223rd bruh, ill bring the ladder :lol

on topic, Kerr singling out AD is lame. trade demands have been happening this isnt a new thing. Management needs to take more blame for not keeping their superstars happy and/or improving their teams.

Kerr was referring to the publicly asking for a trade and putting the Lakers' young players and Pelicans players in an awkward spot. They landed KD in free agency. Completely different scenario.

It only became public because of the Pels incompetent leadership at the time. What Jimmy Butler did was as if not more egregious.

Kerr said if you sign on the dotted line you have to honor the contract until it finishes. But he didn’t bring up PG forcing a trade 1 year into a 4 year contract as “bad for the league” because he did it in the offseason

Kerr MAD this happened to Alvin Gentry.

Warriors been plotting on unibrow for a minute. They just mad they didn’t get him. If this EXACT situation benefited the Warriors, Kerr wouldn’t say ****. **** him.

saw this on my recommended viewing. forgot how over the top it was, not just lebron with the "not one, not two..." comment :lol

I was against athletes forcing their way out early but after thinking about it seems like a win win situation for all parties involved if ownership is smart about it.

New Orleans turned the AD trade into like 6 to 7 players. They got a squad.

I don't blame him for doing it, but when placed in comparison to the AD situation... Both guys were under contract & for whatever reason decided they didn't want to play for that team anymore due to a lack of trust in the Org. I have no problems with either one doing that at all.

My issue is with Kerr turning the blind eye to the other examples & suddenly it's AD setting a bad example. The only variable between him PG & Kawhi's scenario is that Davis team actually sent him to the Lakers when he requested it.

People bashed Jimmy too, no?

Was it 'bad for the league? Were other coaches and executives actively telling Pels management not to honor Jimmy's trade demands like they did for AD? Y'all keep being obtuse and not seeing the obvious.

Malone didn't make Stockton. We'd still know plenty about Stockton if he played on another team. Dude is up there in all-time steals and assists. He'd have gotten someone else a ton of points with his passes.
Having a 25PPG makes it easy for a pure point .

Don't say he would have found someone else as if Malone wasn't an Elitr scorer that was easily replaceable . Nah. Don't do that.

 at this. But proof we need more of “us” in these places.

Blog boyz ok with me...but it’s largley the white hipster crew. Marcus Thompson kinda touched on this, in a pod on warriors world a while back.

**** it. I’m Bout to start a pod .

What did Thompson say exactly?

My feelings exactly. Because let’s look at what probably happens if AD “honors his contract” - he plays out the last years of his deal, unhappy, with the Pels remaining mediocre and then he leaves them for nothing. How’s that better for anyone?
