Official 2019 NYK offseason thread. Brooklyn knick fans check in

This is why I've been trying to temper the expectations of all the Knicks fans around me for the longest.

There are no guarantees in the sports world, any way you cut it. Having unrealistically high hopes will lead to disappointment in sports, 99% of the time. By its very nature, sports is full of uncontrollable variables.

I really wish for the best for KD on a human level and it's time for our fanbase and management to readjust expectations and start building around the assets that we currently have, not the fantasy scenarios we loudly wish for.

Y'all think Knox and RJ can work together in a starting lineup with Mitch at center? Who would play SG/SF/PF?

I wonder if this would’ve happened regardless. I’m no physical therapist, but it would seem that the Achilles was damaged as is. Could’ve happened in the summer during training, next season, who knows.

I was just saying this to someone else, but I'm totally cool with bringing in a few rookies and signing a couple vets to mentor. We can build this slow and steady. I've never been a fan of hanging your hopes on signing a superstar in free agency.

Yeah I'm honestly on board with just getting some young guys together and letting them grow.

I want another first round pick too but I always want another first round pick lol

And I don't want just Kyrie (even though it looks like Brooklyn).

Don't see Kawhi leaving that roster in Toronto.

Kemba is going to be looking for too much money.

Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler don't make us good enough to sign longterm.

...

And AD would be coming to a depleted roster, and we'd also have to give up one or both of those Mavs picks.

Just don't ruin the cap room and youth this summer.

What basketball player has had a torn Achilles and came back to be what they were before?

Maaaan y'all were acting like it was a sure thing anyways. All these reporters were pulling **** out their as$es. If he was on the knicks and tore his achillies then y'all should be mad but I don't see this as a loss for us because we don't even know what are chances were at signing him in the first place.

this is completely stupid.
what do the knicks have to do with any of this???

if it was on the knicks time it would've been cause to complain instead of how things panned out last night?

grade a smart dumb **** right there
