We got a promising young point guard, two 1st round picks, and essentially reset our payroll.

I think we did okay. If he wasn't heading into RFA we would've gotten more.

Kyrie, Kawhi, Jimmy, AD, KD, Westbrook, Curry for the most part. The list goes on. Everyone gets hurt or misses games due to rest.

The rest of the league doesnt think that. Unfairly, there's a bad stigma around DSJ for w.e reason. In every rumor, we're dangling him in trades as is.

I dont trust anyone who falls in the draft lottery. DSJ was that player, there are reasons a Frenchman whose scared to do anything on the court was drafted over him even though he's wildly less talented. I think DSJ was ranked as high as #5 when the college season ended but then kept falling.

Magic were desperate for a PG and passed up on him too. This year, Bulls and Suns are desperate for a point guard yet dont want DSJ at all.

DSJ fell due to his ACL injury. It’s pretty normal for that to happen. Kid still has a lot of potential in this league. We just witness Micheal Porter Jr fall b/c of surgery .... doesn’t mean that they aren’t capable of being really good

Baron Davis tore his ACL in college and was still drafted high.

DSJ this year would be the 3rd best PG in the draft and for sure a top 10 pick. Yet why dont the Bulls or Suns want him assuming Ja and Garland are off the floor? How much better is Lonzo Ball really if he was a key component in getting AD? Look how the league that values shooting views Lonzo compared to DSJ.

In the KP trade if I would rank the value of what we got in return, DSJ was basically a throw in just because he's young.

1. Unload contracts
2. Get 2 picks
3. DSJ/DJ

Wish we could somehow get another lotto pick in this draft. We havent worked out any of them so doubt that happens.

It’s not even that. The potential is there, but it’s all the other stuff and the injury that made the trade a no brainer. Don’t forget that they’ve been taking calls for him for him since November, but those deals probably would’ve still left us with THJR and Lee’s contracts. Like Nick said, we dumped 2 bad contracts, got 2 first round picks, a 20 year old PG that can fly, and Deandre to mentor Mitch. No one seems to acknowledge how much better Mitch played the moment we got DJ.

We didn't get the #1 pick, AD is on the Lakers, KD or Klay won't be playing here next season, no matter what.

It ain't a rumor, we won't be contenders next season

Time to embrace it and readjust expectations.

I wouldn't be mad at adding D Lo & Randle, while still keeping the flexibility to sign a max level player down the line.

Knox, Mitch, RJ, Dot, DSJ, Trier can all develop into really serviceable players/stars giving us pieces to build a bonafide contending roster or valuable trade assets to find better fits.

Phil wanted Frenchy to fulfill his dreams of returning the triangle to prominence. When was the last time Chicago, Orlando or Phoenix did anything that made sense?
