Foster been washed, running the same defensive schemes that worked back in 06 and 07 when the defense was #1 in the country and he’s too stubborn to change his philosophy.
Fuente was supposed to be this QB guru that was finally going to bring the modern, quick pace spread offense to Virginia tech. Hasn’t happened. He inherited a program with some NFL caliber guys that wanted to play for Beamer, which explains the early success. He’s failed to win back the best recruits in the 757 area (excluding Devon Hunter, Who ironically doesn’t even play) and now players are departing the program to either go play for other schools in the ACC or go back closer to home and play at ODU and Norfolk state.
I wouldn’t even be upset if Beamer and Babcock decided to let Fuente go after the game. A 35 point loss, at home, at night against DUKE is disgraceful.
A new coach and coordinators are needed for 2020.

Bro the state of the program is in the damn toilet. I didn’t want to admit it coming into this season, but I see the writing on the wall. Fuente has this football team on upset alert every single week. Yes, even against FCS teams. They beat Furman, at home, by 7 lmfao.
A 5th year senior That was originally starting for Kansas is QB’ing this squad. I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost every game in ACC play.
